great as an entry point
It was my first 4X strategy game, and it was really great as an entry point for 4X strategies for beginners like me. It has a very friendly difficulty curve along with deep gameplay

It's a shame, the game can be a good one
I bought the game a few weeks ago and played it for a few hours. The graphics are okay for 2024/2025, so mediocre, but the game balance is disastrous and extremely annoying. For example: the AI opponent starts with a level 19 hero (max. is level 20) and you start with a level 1 hero. You can only build level 1 troops at the beginning, and even then, in limited numbers, because you simply don't have enough money at the beginning. And the opponent quickly sends level 4 units and a level 19 hero to your only city and lays siege to it. You can't build level 4 units until turn 60 at the earliest, or even much later. The AI has such units in turn 1. The developer regularly releases DLCs with very little content, thus generating more and more money, and unfortunately, it works. There are indeed many players who pay a lot of money for so little content. The problem is that with so much DLC, game balance suffers extremely. There are some mods that are updated regularly, but since new bad DLCs are constantly being released and the game is being updated, almost all of the mods break and many good mods are simply no longer updated. What I'd like to add is that towards the end of a game, rounds last up to 10 minutes!!! Instead of fixing these problems in the game, they're constantly churning out inferior DLCs to generate more money.
