Age of Wonders

First i'd like to say, this gem aged really well. Full HD resolution available, the graphics are pretty, the gameplay and interface very user friendly (i'm pretty much a beginner in AoW). Only over one hour within the game, and i completely love it. The soundtrack is phenomenal, and the story is very promising! Will probably make the walkthrough on Youtube for this. Love it :)

This game came out during a time when I was seriously broke. So n00b on classics like this. Serious steal of a game at this price. WINE set to Virtual Desktop. Works great.

I bought this game when I was a kid and I still love it! Good mix of strategy, empire building, dungeon crawling, and turn based combat (which you can skip or fast forward) I remember standing in the computer store with not much money to buy a game and i was browsing the less pricey games. Glad I chose this one. It's a gem that I'll replay forever.

I am old and the games of my youth were full of chit. Age of Wonders would have been so good for my Defender of the Crown/Genghis Khan playing self, or my tabletop war game teen years. I play it now, and it explodes my brain to want other possibilities., other ambitions. I want to change it to make it more perfect than the perfection it is. Age of Wonders, I think I love you. It crashes every once in a while, so saving each turn can help.

This game has always been a great deal to me and my sister. We both played it, while we grew up. I own the original CD of the game, the Steam version and the GOG version. The game keeps pulling me back, and I will always hunger for more! Sad thing about is: Both the Steam version and GOG version is unplayable for some reason. Either the Mapviewer crashes the game or the game simple crashes. I haven't been able to play it for years due to this.
