The game centers around you, a heartbroken man with a background in cryptocurrency trading, telling the story of how you met a girl named Megan during a life-changing day. Megan is a young aspiring actress down on her luck and in desperate need of help. Will you be there for her when she needs it the most and help her turn the tide? Will you be able to win her heart?
Acting Lessons is a drama-filled adult Visual Novel (VN) with many different endings.
The choices you make in this game, even early on, will permeate throughout the game and affect the people around you and your adventure.
The game is centered around the relationship between Jonas (or your name of choice for the main character) and Megan, but there are multiple women in the cast that you can pursue.
Will you be there for Megan and stay faithful to her or will you fall in love with her childhood friend Melissa?
Perhaps you find someone else more intriguing, for instance, the nurturing nurse Leah or the blue-haired actress Rena?
Will you value the friendship with your best friend Liam and be there when he truly needs you?
These choices, and a lot more, are all yours to make.
Expect a 5 - 8 hour long humor-filled and emotion-packed Adult Visual Novel that many players only could find the strength to play once.
The complete game contains:
More than 5000 images
217 animations
61 songs
This game includes sex, drugs and violence. Even if the general tone is happy, the game does depict darker topics of real life.
The story is not intended for players being in a dark period of their lives. If you are easily offended or just looking for a fun game only, this game is not for you.

A girlfriend bought this for me, as I am away travelling for some time - hey, I can only say I have good girlfriends ^^.
Normally I don't have the patience to read through VNs with limited decision-making, as distinct from the degree of engagement CYO adventures/stories offer. Although it was a joke gift, it's a surprisingly good story which I worked through in one 9-hour session (with meal breaks). Give it a go, if you don't mind the pr*n parts - my girlfriend didn't.
There are some inevitable typos, pacing issues, and strict constraints on what you can do when, as with all VN/CYOs, but nothing that made me scream "that doesn't make sense", and I encountered no bugs.
I have never played a "game" like this before.
It is an interesting story, with sex scenes if you want them, I thought the graphic sex detracted from the story and the potential market,
The writing was pretty tight with really good use of story writing techniques, better than most movies. Throwaway lines early in the story have really important meanings that you don't catch until the end.
What I didn't like is that the big twist with "dire consequences" at the end is unavoidable, two characters get put into a dire situation not matter. What happens from that point on is the accumulation of choices made throughout the story.
The best character, Liam seems to have some flexibility for endings, including life/death ones depending on decisions made. I am not sure I can stomach another playthrough to find out. I played twice through and that is probably enough, at least for now. I am glad I didn't get the option to make Jonas a murderer, a choice that seems to have no repercussions in the story, which is weak.
I wanted to try to be with just one of the supporting characters, but it is just too rough. I looked it up, and nothing puts you off the final path. What happens after the horrible thing can be bad or bittersweet though. There is some merit to this approach, even though it is frustrating and limiting.
That leads to the main problem. All paths lead to one specific scene, one that doesn't really make sense. Why not the choice to try to do more and end up dying?
There are choices that don't make sense. Sometimes, you have to choose all of them. There should be at least a few different paths that can avoid the admittedly heartwrenching thing, but there are not. It is not like years are spent on graphics, sound assets, mechanics, and balance. Put some effort into a story with true multiple paths.
I enjoyed the "game" immensely and oddly the characters were fleshed out, but I think that is an illusion. It is just so easy to fill in the many blanks mentally.
