Absolute Drift

Your first clue is a intro menu that is slanted over at about 330 degrees to give some stylist look. You get options to select various control profiles and assists. Upon playing the game you get a kind of top down view, again at some bizzare angle off to give a isometric effect. Your car accelerates very slowly with the steering precision of one of those old American Sedan Cars built for comfort i.e slow and wallowy. There's red cubes on the map you are to hit to collect, along with walls and various objects making up the map. Due to how slowly your car accelerates and moves through the gears ( auto or manual ) theres a real disconnect in control, add in super brakes and the games challenge vs reward and fun is a aquired taste. Would maybe of been something i'd of played on an old 8 bit system decades ago, mainly due to lack of decent games back then, but now, it isn't for me. Pretty sure there will be someone who dedicates all their time to this type of game and loves it. It just isn't me though. I find it puzzling it gets such rave 5 star reviews.

...but game just accidentally shuts down my PC. Without any warrant. What can I say about the game... it is not a casual easy to dive in game where U only check your leaderboard. It is hard to learn but also gives U a huge amount of satisfaction after every perfect circle or reaching x10 multiplier. Imho unplayable with the keyboard. So... I have only played it for 10 - 30 minutes because of PC shut downs, but i will give it 5 stars if after updates it will not crush my enjoyment. And music is awesome! +1 star

I got this game for free, and tried it. You control a car and have to drift in order to complete races with the best score. The control are not clear considering the game physics but i don't have the attraction for this kind of game to try and pass this first difficulty : I'm no big fan of cars, races, sound of engines and tires but i guess for cars lovers its a go.

I liked the simple yet fun gameplay and style of the game, the minimalistic style and smooth difficulty curve, the later challenges are quite something, one of the better drifting games out there. I disliked the car variety mainly due to the lack of truly impactful gameplay changes between them (barring speed and turning ratio) and limited customization options, however I don't think this is a big issue, just personal preference.

just drift and enjoy
