8 Bit Armies is a charming cartoon-like RTS game that offers a good challenge. It can be unfair at times due to the enemy having advanced tech, larger forces, and even nukes. Planning and strategizing is necessary, and fills you with pride when successful. Unfortunately it seems as if the multiplayer lobbies are empty.

Petroglyph, the modern maestros of RTS, have created a fun, accessible new entry that is a great way to get into the genre. There isn’t a lot of complexity here but the friendly art style and generous difficulty curve make 8-Bit Armies the perfect RTS for beginners.

1990's in 2016!
Huge C&C fan here. Bought this game and am very happy I did. Excellent quality + plays @ 144hz on my LCD! Highly recommended.

External multiplayer only? NO SALE.
Step 1: Purchase 8-Bit Armies. Step 2: Notice that 8-Bit Armies cannot be played multiplayer in any way without GOG Galaxy. Step 3: Demand refund and rage about this disgusting behavior. Step 4: Nobody profits.

in one word: great .. love this nostalgic stuff. If you like old school e.g. C&C you gen buy this without thinking any further about wasting money. More of this please an THX Westwood :> ah btw.. please swipe C&C bkac from EA. They not worth to own this pearl of game. -greetings
