RTS with hoard of unit - I had fun

So, this game get all the unit of command & conquer 1 (GDI only, for NOD you need guardian campaign), pack them with voxel graphics, and increase the game cadency that yu can spam several units a minute. That means game are short, and based more on economy so that you can spam more than your opponents. Even if this are concept I usually don't like, here, I don't know why I managed to have fun by playing the solo campaign (forget the story & cinematics of C&C, there is like a one liner). I am not multiplayer guy, so I don't know. always the -recon a bit> build refinery> build more refineries> spam unit chain > see them crushed by the defences > adapt your units to the defences > redo the spam cycle and the extension they have made with orcs & humans, aliens & marines, are also funny, but if you didn't really like the 1st one, it is not gonna change. Anyhow I had fun. But some in-game cinematics would have been funny.

8-bit Armies with Guardians Campaign

I played the demo in 2016 and finally bought the game in early 2017. 8-bit Armies is heavily influenced by Command & Conquer (released 1995) and Red Alert (released 1996) but the gameplay is fast and modern. I have managed to beat the Renegades and Guardians campaigns in March and April 2017, so the balance has not been ruined by patches, at least not for Renegades and Guardians. My only criticism of 8-bit Armies is that the online co-op campaign has a few missions which seem impossible, but thankfully you don't have to play those missions in order (skip them). With a solid-state hard drive and integrated graphics it is possible to run 8-bit Armies on pretty high settings, I think it pays to have an LCD with a 80-million to one contrast ratio too. Finally I thank the developers for making a LAN mode!

Fun simple RTS.

I really enjoyed this simple, straightforward RTS. It plays like the original starcraft or classic Command and Conquer games, only without the cutscenes or character development. Graphics are simple and effective. The campaign isn't particularly challenging, but trying to go back and get all 3 stars on every level is.

Dont fall for it

I purchased this thinking it would be like the old Command and conquer games. the game has far less depth than the command and conquer games. Even in 1995 you had at least 2 factions to choose from. and you had more units as well. The multiplayer lobby is broken. have not been able to get into a game. If I did though I know how it would play. its a button smasher... you spam in units and hope you spam more than the enemy. this is how the single player works. Not Worth Your Time! go play Command and Conquer 95 or openra. fyi: I have the steam version of this game

Fantastic game. More planned.

Apparently they're planning to add more factions. If you're a fan of Tib Sun, RA1/2, Westwood studios, buy this game immediately. It's a no bullshit RTS that's very simple to get into with allot of wiggle room to practice different strategies. I don't know why the one guy's bitching up there about Multiplayer because having to use GOG galaxy isn't any different than in the old days of using a cd key, so it's a moot point. You can still play Skrimish and Campaign with a challenging A.I.
