1nsane

Considering hwo old this game is, the physics and damage model are stunning! It's easily the Spin Tires of its time. :)

I tried out Insane 2 (In2ane) a few days ago, sure it had nice graphics, high speed off road but.. thats it. Insane 1 (1nsane) has been a favorite of mine for many years, and still is. There are few, if any other games that offers car crushing physics like 1nsane and large non linear maps to wreck your vehicle or other's on. heh back in the days me and a few buddies used to play this game day in day out, doing everything from rock climbing with regular pickups to demolition derby with semi-trailers and buggies.

I got 1nsane playing on Windows 10. It looks wonderful allowing for its age. A game for 4x4 destruction need not have too many green meadows or pretty flowers since we would churn them into mud anyway. My friends and I had migrated from 1nsane to Flat Out 2 back in the day. We wanted to more or less play bumper cars. But now I wanted a real 4x4 simulator. I could not find a modern one. When reading the reviews for Insane 2 I learned the name of the game we had left behind. I bought 1nsane from GOG and have really enjoyed it.
