Welcome to Suburbia, just outside the City, sometime in 198X. This is the journey of Kid, a teenager stuck between the limitations of innocent youth and the obligations of inevitable adulthood. The story unfolds when Kid discovers the local arcade – finding new worlds, and new meaning, in video games. For every visit to the arcade – every game uncovered, every move mastered, every demon defeated – Kid grows stronger. And the lines between game and reality starts to blur…
This is 198X – where a new life is just 1 credit away.

This was a nice game. The game episodes were slightly too short except the 4th one which was slightly too long / difficult for me. The Car racer was the most generic one and could have been slightly more fleshed out. But the whole presentation, especially the music, was very pleasant. It just would have been nice to have slightly more levels in these games..
But I bought it on a sale and was satisfied with this small episodic gameplay which actually fit very good to my current game pattern (not so much time to grind hour for hour in computergames)
I completed this game in about 3 hours, which is shorter than I expected but this is one of the games whos story I will carry with me into the future and will promptly sit umong other amazing titles like "Thomas was Alone".
The game is part narative and part retro style games. The narative was exceptional and the games were well crafted, running smothly with no issues.
There is only two things I wish the games had.
1/ I would have loved to be able to add my names to the top scores when I lost all my lives or when I completed the box.
2/ I wish after the game was completed you could go back and pick any of the arcade boxes to play a second time without having to start the story from scratch.
What a fantastic game! I was a teenager in the 80's and this game referred me directly to those magical years. Congratulations to the developers !! What a beautiful soundtrack! Many references to 80´s culture like movies, tecnology, synthesizer music, animes, etc.
Only defect is that the game is very short and don´t have subtitles. But its totally worth the experience. Hope that the devs continues with the serie!
This is a game I would show to someone interested in the 80s arcade scene. Also, I found the story quite interesting and well told, although the ending could have been more developed. The soundtrack is awesome. It's also a short one, but it didn't bother me particularly.
In between the narrative parts, the 5 mini-games helps to set the mood with well-integrated themes. The first 4 of them were really representative of the genres. Even though I liked the the last one too, I felt it the weakest. It maybe expected as an RPG, with all the usual complexity, wouldn't be an easy genre to cover in a short game.
As I mentioned before, the soundtrack is excellent and I'd buy it separately too if it was available.
Recommended for anyone younger interested in that era and for the nostalgic, of course.
