In the near future we learn we are not alone in the universe. A mysterious alien race of giant entities arrives. We call them the Occupants.
They are not hostile, but it doesn’t matter. Their arrival is a death sentence. Humanity is wiped out in a matter of months, succumbing to a disease the Occupants have brought to our planet.
There is one survivor, a teenage girl called Iris. Somehow she is immune.
1000 years later. Iris is not only immune but immortal. She has birthed a new society consisting exclusively of her own clones.
She calls them Sisters. They call her the ALLMOTHER.
Unlike the ALLMOTHER, the sisters are not immune. They must wear masks 24/7 to avoid breathing the diseased air even in the Orchard - an underground bunker where they live in constant fear of an Occupant attack.
The ALLMOTHER lives in her own compound on the front line of the war with the Occupants. All Sisters dream of one day being able to take the train and join her in the fight.

Your role is unique. You have the great privilege of reliving and interpreting the memories of the ALLMOTHER through a process known as Communion, made possible by Secretary, your floating AI companion.

Amazing story and presentation
Even though this is definitely a low budget game, the people behind it really put everything into it. Definitely give it a try if you like Nier: Automata, anime or sci-fi in general and don't mind walking sims.

Perfect for Me
The story seems tailor made for me. I can't rate this any lower than perfect and feel good about it. Heartbreaking and poignant. Absolutely worth your time, despite the minimal at best gameplay mechanics.

Video game storytelling at it's finest
Conventionally, video games do very little to utilize their medium to the fullest to convey their thems and stories, if they even have one at all. 1000xResist is one of an elite class that takes full advantage of the fact that it is a game to weave an intricate tapestry of narrative in a way that is both engaging and not too heady as to completely lose itself in its own ponderings. While its themes are nothing that haven't been tapped before, the way in which they are conveyed thru the characters, world, and gameplay are astounding. And while the game wears its influences on its sleeve, it does so much to separate it from its peers to carve out its own identity and not only stand among them, but even stand above them. A true triumph of the medium that definitely shouldn't be missed for anyone that claims to have an appreciation for incredible and engrossing storytelling.

Wanted to play, won't...
I cannot and will not play a game geared toward right handers only. It's 2025, there is no reason not to offer an alternative control method or key rebinding in this day and age. Shame, I really wanted to play this one.
