I bloody love Time Crisis 4, playing it in the arcades with the light-gun and no only being in awe of how I could point a thing at a screen, pull the trigger and what I was aiming at would get shot.
It's super satisfying to pop out of cover and spray enemies with bullets while being on rails, the usual "easy to learn, hard to master" affair.
I never got that far when playing it in the arcades because I was young, I was obviously worse at video games, but I loved playing it every time I got to an arcade because, I don't know, there's just something magical about a great on-rails shooter. Yeah, yeah, porting it and using a mouse wouldn't feel as natural as using a light-gun, but at least it would be preserved.
Sure, having the game ported to home computers would mean losing out on the light-gun stuff, but maybe then Bandai Namco could sell light-guns to those who want an authentic experience over playing the game with a keyboard and mouse.
With porting it, most of the work is probably done already, it would maybe just be a matter of remapping controls. And even if it isn't, they did port Time Crisis 4 to PS3, so it's clear they aren't shy to it.
