I think what made this game unforgettable for me was it was the first time I encountered the phrase "The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune", which, as an 11 year old, I did not know was a quote from Shakespeare pertaining to armored tires, but it was. This was my proto GTA III----this sort of dreamlike world where you made the greatest car and it was just blown to smithereens by nameless faceless AI antagonists in matte black Lincolns representing the mob or the FBI depending on the mission, and the detail with which the damage was done to your car and the physics adjusted to accomodate your right front tire being blown out or your front entirely decimated, the way it was sort of encouraged by the sort of missions you ended up going on...I can never pick up action figures of Ninja Turtles again and smash them together with onamonapoetic sounds to simulate a fight---I can never be 9 and homeschooled again, but this game can give me back some of that. Please restore it for modern systems!
