I loved playing this game on GBC as a kid, especially on holiday. It's pretty much the original rayman but portable however there is no requirement to get every cage to unlock the final battle with Mr. Dark; all you have to do it get there. It's downsides are being on the gameboy it doesn't have save states but passcode; which unless you have save states or write them down, it can be a pain. The benefit is, you can start at any level including the final battle if you know the code. So if you want Rayman 1 without the 100% cage requirement to actually finish it, this is the best choice! Plus everything else is somehow carried over; levels, battles, even dark rayman following your every move. Watch the water rising levels because by the end, you'll feel it speeding up! Also it has one of the coolest 3D animation intros for the time, on a gameboy color!
