Story:The Evil King has risen from the dead to rule the world once more. The Greek goddess Athena has summoned the souls of four ancient guardians and bestowed their power upon four heroes to stop the evil once again. These guardians wield the ability to shift into anthropomorphic beasts to fight their enemies.
How the heck does this ONLY have 17 votes; it's the better version of Altered Beast. In fact, I dare say it's exactly what Altered Beast ought have been! There's a definite lack of games where you can transform into animals, and frankly, with the existence of the furry community, I'm surprised there's not more games where the player can transform into animals.
We have that Animorphs game for the Gameboy, Altered Beast, Mythic Force, and Bloody Roar... (I'll even add Silicon Valley Space Station as an honorable mention.) And that's it. I'm sure there are more obscure titles too, but this is the icing on that cake. Please bring back MYTHIC FORCE for those of us who missed it at the arcades!
Look. I'm a simple man from a simpler time.
I was born in the 1990s where the top Japanese developers were making some of the best arcade games of all time. And, since arcade games need to wow passerby with state of the art graphics, colorful characters/arcade cabinet art, and catchy tunes to stick out in super loud arcades, you really needed a little extra something to stick out.
Metamorphic Force does that by being one of the most batsh*t insane, overthe top, drug fueled arcade boards I've personally come across and I want this to be available on ALL platforms (not just the Nintendo Switch)
However, the sad thing is that, generally, game companies have done a terrible job preserving/making games generally available and - out of all the pockets of gaming history they especially drop the ball on - arcade games are EVEN MORE often due to their custom build hardware that doesn't always have quick and easy porting solutions.
As a game collector with 15 years of game chasing under my belt, I'm used to hidden gems like these getting being overlooked when it comes to a re-release. But this game is so insane and so over the top that I just want it to be available so that unsuspecting gamers can stumble on it one afternoon with their friends and have a great time.
GOG, make this happen!

This is everything Altered Beast II could have been (but with some platforming challenges added too). Never saw this classic in my local arcades/bowling alleys back in the day. Never even knew about this game but I would have played it if I saw it.
