Ah... Liero...
"Just imagine the tactical chaos of the Worms -series, but in real-time instead of turn based... and then stop imagining it and let's start playing Liero!"
Back in the day (when I hadn't yet grown my stupidly wide shoulders) it was such a treat to squeeze with a friend infront of the same keyboard, and enjoy the frantic spiltscreen action of Liero. So many weapons... so many ways to blow your friend - and occasionally yourself - into bits. And of course, because the crappy keyboards we had in use back then had some serious key rollover issues, knowing your keyboard's particular quirks gave you an unfair edge. For example, being able to at will disable your friend's ability to dig. This of course just added to the fun because kids tend to be somewhat egotistical in nature, and this used to apply to myself as well.
*Sigh* Nostalgia is weird. Though with this particular game holds up rather well (even with an actually good keyboard). And with that said, Liero deserves a wider audience, and it deserves to be remembered.
