I played this game around release date, so it has been at least 10 years and yet every single moment of gameplay, the jokes and personalities of the cast and that absolutely stunning OST are still etched in my brain.
Reading online it seems the game never got the attention it deserved but it would be a giant waste for an experience so entertaining and complete to be fated to just being a core memory and gaming a milestone for the few lucky ones who got to play it. I don't want this game to disappear and I think that, to this day, the game has not aged one second and is still a VERY valuable gaming experience, not to mention a really fun one; one thing to support this is the online activity, there were online games being played up until the 3DS online servers were shut down on the 8th of April, 2024.
It is no coincidence that people still come back to this game, having spent so much time on it I can safely say that to me these 2 are its biggest flaws:
● the Weapon Rolls and Fusion system was kinda confusing, IMO they didn't really add much to the gameplay (though it does make each player have a different playthrough in a way, so maybe that's only me);
● being a 3DS game, had this game not been for that console and thus not having to use the stylo for aiming would have probably made the game more appealing and given it a fairer change to grow its audience, which is a shame since it was a really fun and intuitive way to fight after you got the hang of it;
✪ Bonus: Not having a sequel or even only a Remake-ster, the stylo aiming system is now outdated and has to be changed to make the game available on other platforms but other than that it only really needs some higher definition graphics and it'd be already good as new.
So in short: the game is still well worth your time even to this day and it would be amazing if it could be saved from its inevitable disappearence into the shadows, this is why I would love if it could somehow find a new home on GOG
