Beyond the game's incredible history, no one can deny how visceral and authentic it was to the Jurassic Park mythos. The dinosaurs, characters and gameplay all combined to create an unforgettable and unadulterated Jurassic Park experience. JPOG was, more than anything, a labor of love by the developers at Blue Tongue Entertainment.
When I was younger. All I could ever do was dream about this game. I didn't own a PC and finding a physical copy of the game was completely out of the question. I wish I got to experience it even now as an adult
This is a game that I will never get tired of. Back in the day I would watch countless YouTube videos like carnivore island that would use this game. I remember playing this on my Xbox, PS2, and eventually down the road, PC. Jurassic park is my second favorite movie of all time and this game is in my top 5. Yes, we have Jurassic world evolution but there’s a certain charm about this game that those don’t capture. I know you can download a free copy of this game online but honestly, I’d like to be able to have an official copy to play and have for all time.
This game was the pinnacle of sims back in the early 2000s. Fantastic movie tie-in, tons of great details, and everything you could possibly want to do in a jurassic park themed game, including, building the park on your terms, driving the tour car off the beaten path and into the paddocks, and lest we forget, it's not Jurassic Park unless the Dinos get out! (or at least that's the only take away the Hollywood exec's took from the first movie, never mind a masterpiece about science, control, huburis, and life ah, finding a way...)
i don't think i need to say much about this one but this is the greatest Jurassic Park game ever made and i remember making my park and creating the dinosaurs and then letting the dinosaurs lose in the park and attack the guests and making sure no one escapes this would be great to see make a come back
my favorite childhood game, 100% would kill for a remaster or maybe new content both official and modded into the game, would sit down at the pc for hours playing this and I adore it
Honestly, this game is mediocore. But I really loved it when I was a kid. I loved dinosaurs, I loved Jurassic Park trilogy, and I loved zoo simulators. And honestly? I still love all of this things. Alsom this game have suprisingly active modding scene, so even if the ,,vanilla" is mediocore, you can easily fix this with additional dinosaurs and other stuff.
Played this as a kid on my ps2, bought it from a friend for 50nok, played it so much i could Talk over the intro by memory, as an adult i bought it on cd for about 100usd, the game is still one of my favoritt games of all time, would love the be able to own it and not have to use the cd all the time, and it would be amazing to see gog give this game some love.
This is one of if not the best jurassic park game ever made. I remember playing this game as a kid and just watching the dinosaurs be dinosaurs. The Dino A.I is some of the best I've ever seen. To add on top of that this game had youtube series about it when youtube started with certain dinosaurs even being characters for example there were two modded T Rexes and they were named Crusher and The Queen and they had entire stories and Crusher even got a mod for Evolution. I want this game on GOG because it will give me and many others the opportunity to play this game again without having to go to a sketchy website to get it or pay for a physical copy on ebay that are really expensive even for a white label copy.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival.
Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed.
The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo.
As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity.
Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control.
