Themes:Action, Science fiction

Story:Evil Zone or Eretzvaju (封神領域エルツヴァーユ Fūjin Ryōiki Erutsuvāyu) is a fighting game released for the PlayStation console. It was developed by Yuke's Future Media Creators and published by Titus Software in 1999. The player can choose from ten characters to fight in several game modes including story mode, arcade mode, versus mode, practice and survival mode. The story mode is a unique aspect to the game and sets it apart from other fighting games. Each character has a unique story mode which progresses like an ongoing television program, complete with episode names and previews with voice acting. As the mode progresses, you learn more about the character's backstory and why they are fighting, an incentive to play through the game with each character. Evil Zone is also one of the few games to feature a fully fleshed out story mode for its boss character.Show more

The first time i played that game, i hated it. Weird opening, no music on the character selection menu, cut scenes every time during the battle, only two button to play. That last point looked really awful for me, i was used to fighting games with a lot of buttons and special techniques you had to do something more to launch like in Street Fighter but in that game, any special attack is a button and a direction (a standard now) whereas jumping is not done by just a direction and the action depend of the distance with the opponent. I got quickly used to that system without combo or great depth but still interesting and even with shared capabilities characters stay very differents. It include that great idea of being more easily able to launch the best attacks when you have an almost empty life bar because it's also the super attack bar. Fights are dynamics just like an anime with the cutscene well integrated in the fight and not repetitive because angles are never the same (a feature i rarely saw even in modern games which often show the same identical scene everytime) . I also discovered the lore, much developed than most fighting game at the time, with very different characters with links between several others from before the events of the game : There is even an encyclopedia with entries of weapons, characters, techniques... every aspect of the characters. Their story mode is basically an anime series with title and preview of the next episode...err.. battle and there is really a story which unfold and which develop the motivations of each characters. The characters are also very differents thanks to the multiverse concept of the story : There is a A metal hero, a old vampire looking like a little girl, a mage, a highschool girl with a sword and a guardian angel spirit and so on. I learnt the opening was in reality stripped of its voice in the euro version, there are some bugs out there, the game has flaws but it's unique and i love how unique it is.

Ever since I was a child, I've been dreaming to play this game again. I never once thought this could be a possibility. Lost through time is how I always felt my experience with this game is, and the fact there's over a 100 votes already gives me hope. I have endured alot since, broken bones, broken hearts, marriage, divorce, kids and sickeness. I've been through it all, but I would live through all the pain again if it means that one day I can play my beloved Evil Zone again.

This is one of the best fighting games you can find in the original Playstation. Good story, good music, good grafics and the gameplay is amazing and original. This game definitely deserves a second chance.

I loved the story of each character as well as the fighting style 🥰 So much memories playing this game during my high school. Trying to get it nowadays is a master piece 😄 Note: I love the japanese version ❤️
This game is one of my best memory on Ps1. With his easy to learn combo and great visuals, with a flair for the cinematic. The vidéo intro is engaging like every character. Fan of tokusatsu and metal heroes, my favorite is of course the great DAIZAIVER giving us all the great moves worthy of a Space Cherif Gavan...

I have a lot of good memories with this game. Great battles with friends, with fun and unique characters. This was one I picked up in a old tape rental place. Thay had it for sell. I got it to try it and into this day, it is still one of my favorite fighting games. Simple controls but hard to master. Great music and abilities makes it a really fun game to play. It would be the world to me to play it again.
This is a game I got on the ps1 from a random pawn shop as a kid. I only got it because hey anime. But it ended up being one of me and my sisters favorite games from that era.
Those games also need your vote!

Dark Earth
Dark EarthDark Earth is a post-apocalyptic action-adventure game for the PC. Dark Earth takes place several centuries in the future, when a meteor collision with Earth tossed up great clouds of dust that blocked out the sun. Earth's remaining survivors began to seek refuge beneath small openings in the clouds, the few places light could be found. Those that remained in the 'dark earth' were hunted by strange creatures, infected with the darkness. To shelter themselves from the dangerous 'dark earth', the people began to form cities beneath the light called 'Stallites'. At the time of the game, most of the citizens of the stallite have forgotten their history and now worship the light as a god. The stalites are run by 'Sun Priests', who maintain order and prevent the creatures of darkness from harming the city. The game follows the story of Arkhan, a "guardian of fire", protector of the stallite 'Sparta' and the Sun Priests. After an attack on the sun priests, Arkhan has a poison thrown into his face that begins to infect him with the dark sickness. He begins to mutate into a creature of the dark and has to find a cure before his transformation is complete. Along the way, he is treated as an enemy by most of his former friends while he struggles to uncover the conspiracy behind the attack.

True Crime: Streets of LA
True Crime: Streets of LATrue Crime: Streets of LA is a free-roaming driving and action game similar in concept to Grand Theft Auto III. The game's structure is mission-based; most of the missions are dictated by the story and initiate following a cutscene that advances it. Failing a mission still allows the player to continue playing through the chapter and undertake subsequent missions; in some cases this will lead to branching paths and optional missions. However, in order to complete the whole chapter the player must eventually succeed in all the main missions.
