Jesus. I played this game first when I was 12 and I was fascinated by it. My PC was crappy but ran this game smoothly and it looked so awesome, with the dinamic shadows and realistic scenery. The controls and movement took long for me to get used to. It felt very complex to me to do progress. I remember getting stuck in the combat tutorial, and dreading it, because of this. Maybe some days or weeks later I managed to pass the tutorial and entered Burkitsville, which I love for the very authentic vibe of old rustic relaxed town with a lot of old people with stories and young people that may revitalize the town in different ways. This concept of young vs old blood is also developed in Pathologic and real life. I dreaded the second day night so so much. It was the day that paralized my progress for maybe weeks, because stuff get nightmarish at night and you need to confront monsters. I will never forget my young self scared and overwhelmed in the hotel room just listening the radio songs oldies to calm myself and carefully think about whether or not head outside. Jesus. I spent hours like this. I think months later I printed a guide from internet to try solve the puzzles, because I was getting stuck this way as well. It was all about the plan to distract the sherif to head to the forest. The guide is still online and I recommend everyone to check it!! I can't link it but the authors are Linda Shaw, Ozma, and Norma Kuderna. It's from October 3, 2000. It was thanks to that guide (and the game narrative) that my knowledge in english vocabulary and grammar, plus skills in reading and listening greatly improved, and it gave me momentum to keep developing my potential. I was still very young, and since this game, I became top student for english from this year until graduation, and currently I'm beyond the skills of english teachers. (Studied english pedagogy). Naturally, Elspeth Holiday is an instant waifu I hope every survival horror fan to experience.
I like how it's basically a story expansion for nocturne and we get to play Doc Holiday instead of the stranger. Originally you were supposed to play various characters but got scrapped. Great story honestly.

Basically an unofficial sequel to Nocturne (you play as a side character from that game). This game is even harder to make to work than Nocturne, as with Nocturne if you have the disc and an old computer on XP or Vista, it should run without issues. But Blair Witch does not. It require a specific modification in files wich i can't even remember what it is, and without it, the game won't work.

I don't know, from the perspective of a gamer who is almost 40 years old, objectively speaking it is a very average game. However, 25 years ago I was in love with it (as well as with the other 2 parts). I am having a midlife crisis :D and I return to the old titles with nostalgia. It would be nice to hunt the witch again and immerse myself in this brilliant atmosphere...

[ENG] Mega badass classics. I'm talking about the entire Blair Witch trilogy. I'll never forget how I bought the entire trilogy at the last minute for 200 zlotys, so I can still return to these masterpieces at any time, worse because many people don't have such a komert. Part one (Volume 1: Rustin Parr) is the most atmospheric part of the series. The action takes place the earliest, and the production itself focuses more on telling us a great story along with the use of several interesting gameplay mechanics. It would be good if this product were again on sale on the market. I count on the availability of this product in the GOG store in the future, because it's worth it. [PL] Mega kozackie klasyki.
I remember buying this game back in early 00's , here in Brazil there was this magazine called CDExpert that gave us an opportunity to enjoy legal PC games for a fair price and Blair Witch was one of the games, as a longe time fan of Horror games the game caugth my interest right at the start, unfortunately my hardware by that time was really bad to run the game properlly. I would love to have this series available and updated for modern systems, they are timeless classics of pc gaming and deserves a place on everybody's library.
Bought these games for $20 back in 2000 at Blockbuster Video. It has a great charm to it; it's low budget and like a grindhouse film. Great games put them up and I'll buy them
Those games also need your vote!

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Like the previous entries, Silent Hill 3 is a survival horror combining action-based combat and puzzle-solving, but is somewhat more combat-oriented than the preceding installments. Dune
DuneDune is a 1992 video game, based upon Frank Herbert's science fiction novel of the same name. Developed by Cryo Interactive, is the first of the Dune computer games. Dune blended adventure with economic and military strategy, and is considered by many the most immersive Dune computer game. Loosely following the story of the novel, the game casts the player as Paul Atreides, with the ultimate goal of driving the Harkonnen from Planet Dune, while managing spice extraction, military, and later, ecology through the native Fremen tribes. As the player progresses, his troops are equipped with weapons from "crysknives" to atomics, tap into Paul's latent psychic powers, and get acquainted with such characters from the book as Chani and Liet-Kynes.
