This game holds a very special place in my heart, because it was one of the only video games "allowed" in my household growing up. My siblings and I would all take turns playing, and whoever wasn't would watch like an early version of a let's play. We learned a lot from this game, from how pollution slowly increases over time, to all the different cultures of the region it takes place in, and how imaginative a video game could be, with multiple endings and options for the story.
This game deserves to be preserved, not just for its educational elements, but for the unique techniques it utilizes to encourage learning. One of my siblings, directly inspired by this game, went on to get a degree in environmental conservation. This game was also one of the strong influences in my life that led me to where I am today, working in historical preservation.
