As the first ever 3D Platformer, I feel it's very important that this game be preserved. I have no past experience with this game, but, I've always wanted to try it out.
I wasn't aware of this being the first 3d platformer, I haven't confirmed myself but it sounds plausible.
I however DID experience this game back then. It was more of some new, enigmatic playground to me than anything else. I remember it all boiling down to finding the exit/goal.
I would agree with preserving it for historical purposes. It wasn't an amazing game, but truly groundbreaking for its time.

The game is a riff on the Discworld title 'Guards, Guards', however many elements of the text have been shifted, not least the inclusion of Rincewind as protagonist.
