Story:Alley Cat is an early video game in which the player controls a cat, navigating an alley screen and various challenge rooms. The player must enter a room and complete the objective inside, while avoid hazards such as objects being thrown out of windows, wandering dogs, giant spiders and the broomstick.
I remember playing this when I was very small and the absurdity of it all just stuck with me as well as the crazy sounds it made. The variety of minigames is so much fun, even if there is no real endgame, that's the whole point of the game.
Fun little platformer. What can I say? I really like platformers, and this one is so nostalgic to me. I remember playing it back in my primary school days with my friends. It was this, or playing Bumpy's Arcade Fantasy which we loved as well.
I used to play this game by myself and also with my younger brother and we spent hours in front of the 286 computer and CGA monitor. It brings me fond memories and I´d really love for you guys to add it.
Alley Cat was the game I easily put the most time in on my DOS computer, and it's arguably the game that made me pay attention to the PC as a gaming platform. I have so many fond memories of playing it with my dad when I was a kid, and unfortunately, my original floppy disk version has long since disappeared. I would love to have a legitimate way of easily getting a copy of Alley Cat, and helping more people to experience this unforgettable part of my childhood.
