Release: Cold Fear and I Am Alive

The stormy decks and creaking corridors of Cold Fear are back. This cult survival horror game makes its return to PC, better than ever – newly restored and improved, fully DRM-free and ready for modern systems!
Some games deserve a second chance; and we couldn’t be more proud to contribute to it. This new version ensures that players can finally experience it as intended: preserved, stable, and updated with a host of technical improvements and quality-of-life upgrades. It is, of course, launching as a part of our GOG Preservation Program. And that’s not all – alongside Cold Fear, I Am Alive is also joining GOG in a newly fixed and updated version.
Originally published by Ubisoft and now re-released by Atari with our very own restoration efforts, Cold Fear represents the kind of behind-the-scenes cooperation that helps ensure cult titles don’t quietly fade away when technology moves on. If a game is part of our shared gaming heritage, it deserves more than to be left broken on modern hardware.
But that’s not the end of the good news! Alongside Cold Fear and I Am Alive, multiple gaming icons are joining the GOG Preservation Program today.
