A pleasant surprise
I really wasn't expecting to like this game as much as I do. It's surprisingly addictive and all together very charming. A really nice relaxed classic japanese fantasy arpg. Also quite metroidvania-y which was another nice surprise. Hard to put down.

Recommeded
This is the first Isometric game that I ever played and finished. I really enjoyed playing this game. I recommend it, especially to Falcom Fans. it played it for 54H (which is actually not needed to finish this game). if you are concerned about the story, I assure you it has a story that is enough to interest you.

Good old game
A little bit Ys, a little bit Diablo-like. A bit basic fantasy action-rpg. Good mechanics, good graphics (for it's time, but still better anti-aliasing needed), ok music... Story is just normal fantasy story with some interesting moments (maybe if I were playing other games I will find it more interesting). I wonder if other games of Xanadu/Dragon Slayer series will find their way to gog.

Experience Classic Japanese PC Gaming!
Get lost in the old era of Japanese PC gaming....perhaps quite literally! As long as you understand that you're playing a game from 2005, when certain QoL features for games like these did not exist yet, and that you are okay with that, this game is worth playing. I will warn you, however, that if you try jumping back into the game after not playing it for a few years (like I just did), you might have to live with the fact that you won't remember where you left off and what you should do next. The game does not mark off or close off areas that you completed, nor does it have a character level to indicate how far you've progressed in the game. Perhaps with the equipment I have in my inventory, I can look up in an online walkthrough where I am. While this setback might not sit well with some players, I would still recommend this game.
