Really good
would've been better if the map showed rooms with hog and whether or not you can do anything in them, it would've saved a lot of going back and forward. The animation was great for a HOG, kinda reminded me of a ps2 game in a good way. Voice acting was above average for this kind of game, actually convincing at times.

Solid Adventure/Puzzle Game
Forsaken Souls is horror/mystery point-and-click adventure with a focus on puzzle-solving and finding hidden objects. The locales and music fit the overall theme nicely, and there are some genuinely spooky parts. There is a good variety of puzzles, and you can set the difficulty level if any of them too easy or too difficult. Admittedly there are some puzzles where it's not immediately apparent what you're actually trying to solve, but these weren't esoteric enough to ruin the overall experience. The story is also very well done, and it kept me wanting more throughout. I liked it so much, in fact, that I immediately bought the second game in the trilogy after finishing the first.

A decent HOG, just not scary
After reading several reviews I thought this game would be an amazing experience. It wasn't terrible, but if you are looking for a horror game this is not it. The story itself isn't bad, better than some B horror movies to be honest, and the actual gameplay is well done with a mix of HOG and adventure puzzling. There are many assists you can active or turn off, for the most part I just used fast travel ability and only needed a hint once. But I was expecting scary and this did not deliver for me.

Not bad at all
Not bad. For me the game was a little bit short and really not so scary, but the gameplay was fun - good story, well done puzzles, nice cinematics. Bought on sale and do not regret.
