The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

So you are telling me that you "implemented" the ray tracing features? Yeah.. right.. Cyberpunk case all over again.. even Cyberpunk runs better with ray tracing enabled... Playing with 3080 32gb ram and i7 11th gen and I even can't get 30fps with RT? Such a shame.. devs should know better and this kinda looks like a money grab from the CDPR. Giving an extra one star just because I enjoyed the Witcher 3 story, but this.. this should be a shameful moment for the devs since on Reddit many people have the same problems.

I have hundreds of hours in this game on steam and after beating the game 4 times i can say that this game is absolutely worth your money. > The story is amazing it may take a bit of time for you to get into it but once you are in you will enjoy it a lot. The decisions you make have impact on the world and the characters. > Visually this game looks gorgeous even though its 5 years old. The characters look good (except some NPCs). The world, the monsters and the effects looks amazing. > The voice acting is the best i have seen in any video game. > Sound design in this game is definately one of the best. The sound of novigrad docks and the sound of leaves rusting when its windy these sounds makes you feel like you're actually in the game. > The music is just mindblowing they got that bard like theme in them and just sounds perfect in each region. >The world of the witcher 3 is huge and it feels amazing to just check out every single location on the map where sometimes you run into some interesting side quests or monsters. > The world feels alive in this game you can't just ignore a person in distress and think like you will do that quest later well the person doesnt wait forever for you they will die and the quest will fail. ---- This game is something everyone should experience ------------------------Thank you for reading the whole review.--------------------------------

I've had Witcher 3 for a while but didn't play it recently. It's a very good game but that is overall knowledge already :) The Next Gen patch made me install it again to marvel at the new things with ray tracing, DLSS, and so on. It looks very pretty. At least, what I can see in between the stuttering. Overall movement also is "off": I have around 50fps but camera movement is "chunky". Everything is not fluid in motion, it's like the camera has only movements of 0.5 degrees instead of a fluid motion. So yes, for now 2 stars. The DX11 version runs fine, now only hoping they can fix/optimize the DX12.

So far I loved Witcher 3. The story and the athmosphere of the game is still astonishing. There is a giant but in the room. It is the Next Gen Update. This update destroyed the game and my experiance with it. The Next Gen Update destroyed my skills completly, why are there mods implemented in a Version of a game. I don't want these mods. Why mess around with something like "gourmet". I don't have a problem when others are thinking a game gets to easy with it. It is still a sigle player game. I'm also not amused that the Next Gen update made my graphic settings useless and the game runs now worse and looks worse than before. It is two stars now for me, because the core is still great but the update made it unplayeble.

Not going to repeat what everyone else has said regarding how good this game is, so thought I could write about areas which may have been improved. Removal of re-spawning enemies. In one or two areas where you travel frequently it got rather annoying having to kill the same 3 enemies again and again (particularly under water). Once they are dead, they should be dead. Slightly breaks immersion when dead things keep on coming back to life. Some of the skills were somewhat unnecessary, for instance the crossbow branch. Less is more. There are a lot of potions in the game but I found little use for quite a few of them. Not entirely sure if all the bandit camps were necessary. They are entirely optional, but I wanted to explore everything so towards the end it felt there were too many as it became repetitive. It does give you options to try things like new signs, bombs etc. though. I love Yennefer. I wanted to see more of her. Others wanted to see more of Tris as well. The leveling system was good but also felt odd. In effect you are not rewarded much xp for killing things or exploring, so the main quest never becomes too easy for being too high a level unless you deliberately try and break the system by farming respawning drowners or something similar. It just felt there was nothing particularly special to be found by going out of your way to explore in terms of unique gear, encounters etc. The benefit of this is that the game remains balanced.
