Good story plauged by 7th gen awfulness

Witcher 2 tells a good story, however on the gameplay side, nearly everything is a step down or oversimplified. While Witcher 1 was a full scale RPG with various open worlds to traverse. Witcher 2 is nothing but a 10-12 hour long linear action game disguised as an RPG. One of the very rare instances where I'd recommend someone watch the story online rather than play it to have a good experience.

Not For Everyone

Chances are if you didn't like the first Witcher, you aren't going to love the Witcher 2. I personally am quite entertained by the world and story of the Witcher. However, that being said. I hated the menu and combat. I had hoped the Witcher 2 would be better in this regard, and in a few ways it is. It's clunky, but a least it's not a clicking rhythm game. Prepare to get your ass handed to you. I understand it's to be played as a tactical game, not a hack and slash. But that doesn't excuse poor animation work from the devs. Seriously, stumbling around and getting hit because your swing is too slow, isn't fun. It's annoying. Not to mention PC controls are trash and a controller is much easier. My other gripes? The main menu is a monster, and the music gets old real fast. Besides that, it's a pretty looking game. I wonder when devs are going to realize that graphics don't make games. On the plus side, still one of the better RPGs out there. Enjoy your money, you fucking whores.

You've managed to carve out a wonderful CRPG niche for yourselves that has been vacated by the once-great giants: Bioware and Black Isle. If you stay true to who you are, you WILL be successful. That includes creating CRPGs with some bite to them (and that require strategy and skill to complete), while providing a great DRM-free download service. This is what your customers want. Simply amazing

What can i say....it shows when studios put a lot of care and attention to a game. It has everything you want ...great story, great action, great graphics...way more attention to detail then other games..... keep up the good work...i hope the studio manages to sell a lot of games so they are not forced to create milking cow games....like other studios. All the best
