Good story, but buggy
I am playing the Witcher 2 after playing the Witcher 3 and its DLC. I love the connects to the third game and the story this one tells. However, I have had a few crashes and some of the game play can be clunky. Still work a buy if it is on sale.

Good story, bad gameplay
Pros: Decent voice acting, nicely detailed world, good characters, interesting story. Cons: Geralt moves stiffly and extremely slowly which makes it very hard to exploit enemy weaknesses. Countless invisible walls which makes the forest feel like a hard to navigate maze. (Let's play "spot the opening that does not have an invisible wall".) Terrible stealth sections with enemies who fluctuate randomly between complete blindness and eagle-eye vision. Trial-and-error based boss fights with little feedback and no checkpoints. Wonky enemy AI that frequently gets stuck on things. I really want to like this game, but I can't. Only get this if you have a high tolerance for frustration.

Support developer for a great game
I don't have to say too much as many others have. I didn't realize Gog had the game or else I "might" have purchased the game from here (yes, still pissed at Gog). In any case, this is a great game and you should support the developer so they can continue to produce games of this quality.

Installation help
You would need 1. Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) 2. DirectX 9 - DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) At least I needed to install these before starting the game.
