DO NOT BUY!
If you browse the reviews you will find a number of people claiming that The Settlers 3 doesn't work or even that it's a scam. Well after trying every solution proposed in the forum I give up. Running the cmd-file as admin? Nope, doesn't help, still wants a Serial Number. S3.EXE won't run at all, it's stuck idling using 4~5 MB of memory, only s3multi.exe starts up. No compat mode changes anyting. Just no. If I had just bought it, I would go for a refund, but I bought it too long in the past.

Great Game
I loved this game when it first came out. It was one of the best stratagy games to take time playing. Now I have downloaded it her and cannot play it. It says I need the code to play and as I cannot get into the game to get the code, no go. Where is the code?

Technical problems 3
Like most of the "good ol' games" Settlers 3 might work on your computer or it might not. These old games run on DosBox emulation and it's rather finicky at best. I tried installing the game both on my main comp and on my laptop and it doesn't even start without additional files and fixes. Gog tried to save the old games but it seems like time has passed these methods and what is left, is not suitable for those that just want to sit down, hit 'play' and enjoy their games. Too bad.
