Its a VN and a good one. Simple Stuff.

This is a great little visual novel with some decent tactical battle elements which kind of set it apart from other games in this niche and give you a little extra interactive gameplay which is nice. Most of the negative reviews I have seen are coming from people who clearly don't enjoy the VN genre to begin with so I'm not sure why they even bothered. Obviously this isn't a genre for everyone. But hey if this is your kinda thing the game is actually pretty good.

The amount of clicking required..

The story is okay, but prepare to wear out a mouse or two clicking .. every .. three .. words. Or a spacebar. The whole story is presented to you in bits that you have to click through to get the next few words presented. Other than that, it's an interesting concept and an interesting storyline although it's someowhat cliche. I hope there will be some development done to make this a bit less tedious. And while we have some parts with a voiceover - why did nobody care to voice the text?

Tis my first visual novel

Yeah I got this mostly because it was free. I had a good time. The battleing was fun, the charetors engaging enough and the story interesting enough to make me want a little more. Perfectly adequate, I might pick up more when they are on sale.

10/10, would recommend

I'm not much of a strategy gamer, but I've got to say: Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius was one of the most enjoyable games I've played. The soundtrack is great, the story is powerful, the gameplay is enjoyable even if you're not into the genre. My only complaint would be the difficulty. Being relatively new to the genre, I went straight with the Visual Novel difficulty (the lowest one, don't judge), but I was still close to getting my a** handed to me several times. (but that's in part because I suck at strategy). Either way, I love this game.

Difficulty ramp makes this Unplayable

The game starts out fairly easy until the second area when suddenly there are FOUR times the enemy and the player is expected to have endgame level skills just to win and to advance the game. There's a reason why this game is free.
