Stellar Tactics

Wow, I'm really impressed by this game. It reminds me of the old SSI Buck Rogers Game. This has always been a dream game for me. Mixing space combat with ground combat and so far so good. I hope the programer doing this continues to add content. The only thing I would like to see is more direction on other solar systems, as to places to explore on ground.

Bought this in early beta on Steam and couldn't be happier. The Dev is amazing and is crafting a nice product. So far this is the closest PC game to the pen and paper Traveller RPG I have found. It already has ground and space based combat similar to what would be expected in a Traveller game. Just in a unique universe crafted by the developer. Dev just updated us that ship boarding is coming soon! Can't wait to see how that works!

So far I've given it two shots. The second one improvedbut still it is not enticng enough for me to get into it. The topic, ideas and type of game is really up my alley, but then, it is not a bad game but UI is too slow, graphs are ok but also amateurish and I was expecting a Lords of the realms/crusader no remorse/Baldur's gate experience and despite being some of them all its engine IMO is too slow/out of date to run the game with the smoothness and fluidity I need to enjoy it. I' ll give it another last chance in a year or so but after so much time I feel it won't improve on its basics, despite the developer working hard on it, the engine was a bad choice that limits it all. Again I've only spent about 3 o 4 hours into it so perhaps is not enough... but there are much better games out there to spend your time on. I really dislike to give a low mark but its depth is hurted by its slowness/clunkyness.

Just shows you how just because a corportion has billions they cant make games that are made out of love from a dedicated devloper that didnt sell out and wants to create a living world. Even in this early access state its better than released triple a games. The story is really well done, as well as game play, skills, and the rest. The only other one that comes close is frackin universe, amd rpg growth. Wish the developer would add more options to help pay for it if they need it, if this game keeps updating there will be no better space game. It really makes you feel like your in that universe. Not saying btw the graphics are unreal 5, but graphics are almoet meaningless too me, its about the game play. The graphics are well done, and more than good enough.

I already love this game and rank it among my all time favorites. I can't imagine how amazing it will be in the future when it is finished. I don't mind if the guy takes a long time to make the game great. I would rather have an amazing game that he took his time with, than an o.k. game that was rushed.
