absolutely underrated game

SOMA is a game for the lightweight philosophers - of what life is all about and where we are or should/n't be going. Episodes ridden from identity crises to friendship, trust, dreams, utter devastation and most of all FEAR. Fear is what drives humanity forward or backward. Everyone is dealing with it fast paced or slowly or avoiding it altogether until it hits hard. Better to get used to this evil necessity very early on in life. There is this theme of no-way-back. One questions that will remain after you played is this: "Is my life worth enough to allow myself to be jerked around for better or worst?" because if you do, there's only utter misery at the end... remember that... "DON'T BE A JERK"

Really Fun To Play & Really Good Story

I found this game to be an enormous amount of fun!! I loved the ending so much, I found it very fitting and was a great story cap! The critters attacks reminded me of the Outlast games, which I loved.

Short, great story!

Game that you will leave hanging and cause re think about humanity as concept. I enjoyed the story, suspense, horror and gameplay as whole. Recommend if you want good story and thrills.

Interesting story, very poor gameplay

SOMA, as you can read in many reviews, has a very interesting story. One can even call it deep in comparison to most video games. However, the gameplay is a letdown: The story is too linear Puzzles are trivially easy Map design is confusing and not creative The story, despite being good, is not unparallelled in its subject or complexity. I am not going into aspects like lack of inventory, skills etc. because that would be a criticism on the genre not the implementation. However, whatever type of game SOMA attempts to be, it fails at it. In the end one ends up playing the game for its story and I don't think it is good enough for me to recommend it to others. For a much deeper, more immersive and creative experience you can check out Prey, System Shock 2 and other similar games. If you like the story and not the gameplay, maybe Talos Principle could be a good choice.
