An Uncut Diamond in the Rough
MAYTechnique, NSFW artist here! I'll start by saying that I received this game for free thanks to FreedomToByGames.com by GOG.com. Sapphire Safari, in the 3 or so hours I've played which is more than enough to sample just about every mechanic currently impleneted, has been a wonderful experience despite the nature of its early development. It's got the majority of things I enjoy about most games but NSFW ones in particular such as character selection (no customization at this time), a plethora of girls, an open-world environment. I love the roster of monsters and the colorful variations for each, but as there's only 3 "sizes" of monsters- all of which use the same animations depending on their biological equipment- it can get stale pretty quickly. I'd love to see some physical variations in the characters and not just coloration and genitalia. For example the bee girls have a cave of their own- it'd be cool to have a unique "queen" (or king!) bee that might have animations seperate from the rest of the hive. The world is large, and pretty, but empty. Not necessarily a bad thing of course. It server it's purpose. As this is an actively-developed game early-on in its development it's understandable that there isn't much content although there does appear to be a form of mystery side quest which will require some exploration to fully understand (I have not completed it myself at time of writing due to an ill-timed crash around the time I realized what I think I needed to do). Ultimately, for fans of monster girls or furries, the $12 price tag may be a bit high for what's available currently but I'd HIGHLY recommend adding this to your wishlist for future reference. I'm blown away by what I was given for free, and I eagerly look forward to seeing how this game will develop in the future.
