Nice game, AWFUL ending
The game is a little more than an interactive graphic novel, but it is done very well, with wonderfull graphic and music; the concept of the time trivel is intriguing and the puzzle well implemented. Its major selling point are the consequences of all your choices: every action you take, even the smaller ones, will have ripercussion in the future. This point is this game's merit and ruin: in the first 4 and half chapter you will ponder every decision, every single action, since everything will have unexpected consequences, even in later chapters. However, the higher it rises, the harder it falls, when the ending brings everything to a ruin. - mild spoilers ahead- My major gripe with the ending is not from the point of view of the story (over which rivers of words has been written, and thousands of flame wars has been fought) but on the game mechanics itself: while during all the game the focal point was "every action and decision has major consequences", the last five minutes of the game destroy all of that, and the conclusion is "all your choices are meaningless and have absolutely zero consequences (besides the very last one, but even on that one the jury is still out)". -SPOILER- Basically, in the end you have to decide whether to undo every single decision you have made up until then, or to let everything getting destroyed, rendering all of your choices a moot point. Basically, you could just play the last 5 minutes of the game and the results would be the same.

Game won't launch
I rarely review products online, but I feel I must in this case. I played the first episode for free on Steam, and it was pretty good, so I decided to buy the complete season here due to the absence of DRM. Unfortunately, I've now spent as much time installing, reinstalling, troubleshooting, researching, etc as I playing that first episode. There are a lot of people facing the same issue, with both this and Before The Storm. I understand that there are sometimes edge cases that cause problems for small numbers of users, especially with recent launches. This is probably a "configuration" type issue with certain machines i.e. we are missing some dependency somewhere. I've spent a considerable amount of time looking at log files, event viewer, dll and registry handles in Process Explorer, etc, all to no avail. The mere fact that I am looking at that stuff at all when trying to play a game from a big publisher is absurd. The actual game seems good from what I've played, but I cannot recommend anyone purchase it in its current state. Hopefully the developers or publishers or GoG will come up with a fix, or someone in the community can figure something out.

Your choices matters (kinda).
I took my chances and decided to buy this game on gog, I just want to expand my gog library a bit I figure, saw this game on discount on steam several times but never could I dragged myself to buy it (or play the episode 1 demos). But damn, what a decision I made. The game is not so much a game, it's resembles Telltale games but with more interactions with environment, you don't made choices but you would explore and observe your environment to make decisions, never played Telltale games but I saw some videos on YouTube and you bet this game is better in gameplay. Yes, the camera can be a bit weird but then again it's 3rd person perspective so what you gonna do? It's minor complain really if it can be called complain at all. The real bread and meat of this game is the story and you should play this game blindly, which I did. The story can be a little cringy but that depends on your demographic, are you above 47? play galaga and consider throwing rocks and bonking sticks as video games? there are high chances that you can't relate and enjoy this game, if you are teenagers or young adults, I'm 90% sure this game will blow you away, especially if you enjoy game with good story. 10/10 [SPOILER AT THIS POINT] Man, I wish didn't peek at Life is Strange 2, I planned on straight buying it, I thought it was separate story entirely, apparently it's NOT, and my final choices is to sacrifice that important character in the end (you know who, if you finished the game), I kinda dissapointed that it's seem there are actual canon in this game which made left the bad taste in my mouth. Why? It means your choice don't matter, in the eye of the developer, because they decided to things for you (hence the title of this review). But then again, this game on itself is great, and you should play it.
