Worth waiting for

As you read this, know that I have played, and finished, Hollow Knight. Silksong is a beautiful game, with tight controls, and a sterling example of a Metroidvania, but it IS hard. Too hard? I don't think so. I have completed one runthrough, and gotten the basic ending, and will now be playing again to try and unlock otehr endings. I've more or less been playing blind, which is how I prefer it. Know that if something seems too hard, you can come back later.

Worth the cook time

If this game can't prove that games can be art, then nothing else can. Every enviornment feels like a painting followed by amazing music. The controls are amazingly fluid and the ability to create actual builds adds even more depth to the already great combat. The only issue is that the game is difficult, maybe too much so. A casual player with less time on their hands will have problems trying to finish this. The double damage and boss runbacks are a combo that can become annoying really quickly. But despite that, it's an amazing game more than worth the price for the amount and quality of content it offers. I feel like I keep running into new stuff even after 80 hours of playtime. 9.9/10, my keyboard hates me

I love it!

It's challenging, with a beautiful design, but it's not for everyone. The game's difficulty is no joke, but with patience you can do it. I hope you give it a try.

First time playing this kind of game

I am not a platform player and guy but this is very fun and challenging. You may fail and will fail but the fell when you beat something is very good. 10/10 for me

Expectations exceeded

Silksong is a worthy successor to Hollow Knight. I loved the melancholy throughout Hollow Knight, which Silksong didn't (try to) imitate. It is a very different game, building more on colors, bosses and exploration - more enemies - faster - harder - bigger - grander soundtrack here and there, but some themes were not very memorable to me - more invisible walls to hit - more frustration - more game to the game Overall a great Metroidvania with 3-5 bosses/gauntlets/traps that I thought were between unfun and unfair. I played after the hotfix nerfs.
