Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

I likes this game a lot. Good story, good atmosphere, outstanding audio effects, immersive visuals and good combat. I liked also that the game respects my time it is is focused without any fillers (no collectibles, no errands).

A game full of depth, heavy atmosphere and amazing music. Just put on the headphones and you will be absorbed by this world, cruel, deceitful, full of death and pain. You have to survive it, but not everyone will be able to go through it. David Garcia Diaz's music and the actors' voices add to the already dark atmosphere (especially the voice of Senua's father). Fight? On the normal difficulty level, I find it very satisfying, effective, it can be long with many opponents, but easy to go through and in no way tiring (but it's a matter of taste). The only downside is the repetition of puzzles in the form of searching for symbols. Some of the puzzles were really inventive, but the characters...could be better, but that's a small piece of the overall puzzle. An additional flavor - Norse mythology, about which you can learn a bit.

This is not an innovative game. It doesn't give freedom to player. It's Linear one time story. But the quality of this game - face animation, sound and most important story - is jaw dropping. And I always play for the story. Very immersive - headset recommended.

The narrative of this game is fantastic. The visuals are breathtaking. The audio gives me chills. If you want something that draws you into a gripping, fascinating story this is a must-play. The only criticism I can think to give is that the combat and controls could be slightly more fluid, but the pacing and learning curve for them is yielding enough that it does not detract from the experience. This is probably one of my favorite games of all time.

This is an absolutely amazing game (perhaps a walking simulator with some exploration, a few puzzles, and a little bit of sword fighting). It is not really a fighting game. The fighting mechanics are basic and never really change, although the visuals of the fights do, and like the rest of the game, the visuals are one of the most important things. This is a character and story-driven cinematic experience with some light gameplay elements thrown in. There is no platforming, but the puzzles and exploration remind me of Rime. The sword fighting is a bit like the old Prince of Persia games. The only thing I didn't like about the whole game was the atrocious end credit song. It needed better lyrics, a much better sing, or maybe no vocals at all. It really detracted from an otherwise amazing game. It is fairly short, 6 or 8 hours, but well worth the price. The graphics, animation, acting and sound design (besides the last song) are superb. I really hope the story continues.
