Over 60hrs and still enjoying it

On paper, the combination of card game, boardgame and strategic RPG sounds like a dream come true. In reality, the game failed to impress me, and to my own surprise, i got bored and uniterested very quick... It surely isnt a bad game, just one, that fails to shine in any of its genres...

This is basically a combination of Slay the Spire and Path of Exile, with a roguelite system on top :D The PoE elements are especially interesting - build-changing Uniques, crafting of Rares, slotting rules that combo with slotted skills. It is a simplified version of the system to be sure, but nonetheless enjoyable and recognizable. Great, interesting game, a definite must-have for fans of card-based rogue likes ^^

You know how the cards you hover over are pulled out of the deck a bit? When I hover over a card, it rapidly pulls them out and back into the deck which makes playing a card impossible. And if I am able to play or discard a card then the other cards will be pulled down which also makes picking them impossible. I didn't have this problem on Steam. I refunded it there because I saw that the game is also available on GOG. Requested a refund until the game leaves early access. The potential is there. But the execution? Not so much, yet.

To start, if you're a slay the spire gamer, forget about campaign. this is like any boring game : you farm 90% of the time bad mobs (even in highest difficulty) just to have 10% of the time. The interesting mod is the roguelike one. Here are the pros : -RPG aspect is really good. You don't drop that many items, you have gold to manage, exhaustion to avoid... -There are plenty of way to play, and a lot of characters ! These are the 2 main problems : -readability : Sometimes, you can't understand what monters are going to do. They hit in a square, but they follow someone in particular ? You can't know which one... Booooring. -booooooooooring : Unlike slay the spire, some bosses will just be heavy HP tank, dealing nothing. And you'll have sometimes to fight more than 20 minutes before defeating someone, just dodging boss abilities... It looks like a retard diablo, you just wait 20 minutes for a drop. The game might look like roguebook, but Roguebook is really quicker, and really easier to read.
