Looking good so far

I bought the game with the fifth update. Right now it's a fun little team management game. I really enjoy the different gods and their developement trees. They give it quite a bit of replayability. I am rating it 4/5 since it is a bit short so far. The game ends about halfway through. The biggest challenge is the beginning. It is pretty easy once you have the right setup for your city. But I guess that is something that will change once new updates get released.

A Good God Game

This is a good, focused studio that makes good, focused games. You are a proper god in this game, not just a diegetic device standing in for the player character. I would urge you to ignore a good number of the In Dev reviews, as this game has seen SIGNIFICANT changes in its development, and has improved greatly. A good game, a good team, and a good time.

Fun and made with love.

I have to admit this surprised me. Maybe I was a bit lost, just wanting to buy SOMETHING to fill the emptyness within me. Before I knew it I was a god founding a religion based on generosity.... and suddenly I have disciples with giant spoons that attack their targets yelling "Hungry?" or "Relax and enjoy our gifts of food!" (Relax, while I blunder you into oblivion using this spoon! GIANT SPOON. SPOON. I'm a bit lost (well, after half an hour) about when why what happens. But that can happen. I seem to have a limited time to level my little tribe up, then we go on a mission and "gently" (did I mention the giant spoon?) try to convert stubborn humans that don't quite see we've got the best religion ever. I do like the clean look, this game feels like it's done with tons of love, I'm having fun, could imagine it would be a good game to stream, as well.

Not As Originally Described

It's no longer in their promo material, but originally they said we could set up our people to worship what ever we wanted them to worship, even cats. So I bought the game, but there was nothing but a two-axis model based on sex and violence. When I asked the devs if they were going to add more themes later, they responded with puzzlement. I can see why now, watching the release trailer. Sex and violence was all they had to sell, in cartoon form no less. I'm sorry now that I contributed in any way to their effort.

No tutorial

I really tried to like this game but I could get past the city center screen. I clicked everywhere. I checked forums I even tried to contact Abby Games and while I am sure I am missing something small I am moving on to other more complete games in my library. My advice always have either a manual or a tutorial level in your game.
