Ja es ist eine völlig veraltete Grafik und die Steuerung ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Aber wenn man erstmal alles so einestellt hat, wie mans braucht, geht die Steuerung wesentlich einfacher von der Hand, als bei vielen neueren Spielen. Der Soundtrack ist legendär und es gibt keine gaming Space Opera, die einem ein beseres Feeling von Krieg und Verlust vermittelt. Man hat das Gefühl, tatsächlich mittenedrin zu stecken.

Freespace Review
Freespace the space-sim always a game that you could be there and spend a little while with. Most of my play time with this game when I have been has been on bursts of a few missions till i got bored and did something else. The reason why ?: You needed to break it up. This game has no replay value until you fully forget it. Graphics: very good for its time. Controls/Gameplay: All over the keyboard and the joystick. slowing down the game play. But this predates alot of the more advanced mouse tech. That being said an disable mouse invert should have been included as it was with the joystick. This program really did need the various interminable training missions for you to keep up and also its reference card. Because you will routinely forget what you just learned. Story: Very easy to follow but the cinematics are more or less filler and don't seem to be necessary at all as the information and briefings do cover what you need to know. Overall 3/5. Conclusion: For a space-sim the easy to follow story and great graphics are usually a must as the emphasis on combat is very high. However when it comes to playing that combat its what makes the game take a downfall as it should have had easier controls to work with. With no replay value to the game I will need to wait till I forget to play again.
