Okay game, but utterly scummy developers
The developers have claimed (and don't believe them even for a second) that their refusal to ever lower the game's price or even let it go on sale for so much as a -10% discount is to "respect their older players who paid more for the game". I'm sorry, but what the actual ****? That's the biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard or seen outside the realm of international politics! It's painfully clear that the devs are simply a greedy and scummy bunch who would rather be elitists than inclusivists, as nobody, EVER, has complained about a game they bought X years ago is now on sale. I bought Anno 1800 at launch for the full 60€ price. Was it worth it at the time? Maybe, maybe not. Do I feel any amount of bitterness towards the developers/publishers for lowering the price over the years? Hell no, because: 1. I got to spend more time with the game than those who bought it later 2. It was 100% my own choice buying it at launch, knowing full well that the game would drop in price later 3. I'm not a mentally disturbed semi-human lunatic who throws a hissyfit over someone buying something at a lower price than I did So the only logical conclusion here is that the develops of Factorio are just a bunch of MAJOR a-holes who'd rather be greedy than allow for people without piles of gaming dosh to buy their game. Because REALLY, who could it POSSIBLY hurt among the current playerbase if they dropped the game's price or put it up for sale at a discount, huh? Oh, what's that? NOBODY? You're damn right, Skippy!
Hilft dir das weiter?
