Boring.
Played some 30 hours on Steam but I just felt the need to write this review because I can't believe how highly rated this game is. It just makes no sense. Technically it's fine. No issues. So I guess it all works as intended. But I've been gaming for 25 years and I can't recall any game as boring as this. You spend the entire game doing the exact same repetitive tasks of setting up an automated system that then runs itself. After which you pick your poison on your second monitor - whether it's watching Twitch streams or jacking off - because the game just plays itself. I don't understand who thought it was a good idea to make a game about automation which by definition means you don't have to do anything once it's set up. There's no game to play here unless you want to manually gather and craft everything which takes a million years. So you set up automation to do everything but then you've got nothing to do yourself. There's no challenge in the game. No complexity. The factory mechanics are extremely simplistic and easy to figure out. It's just busywork to set up the buildings and conveyor belts to gather and process everything. You can't fail at it. You're not on any real timer or pressure. The enemies are a joke, the one turret you put down at the start of the game will keep you safe for 10 hours. If you want a game with a city manager with actual shit happening - just get Rimworld. If you want engineering complexity and a serious challenge - try Oxygen Not Included. This game is just sandbox engineering minecraft. A kids game.

Technical bad
You have to wait two minutes to see the main menu. Why the graphics where generated and loaded BEFORE you reach the main menu? If you change some options, you have to restart the game - and wait two minutes again. That is awful ....

"DRM Free" Right GOG?
Whatever idiotic DRM this game has won't even allow someone to play a LAN game without having to own it first.

Conveyor Belt Maze (The Video Game!)
Got this game a few days ago and already clocked in 38hrs+. It is a good game if you enjoy problem solving, base building, and puzzles. Plenty of creative ways to win any level and plenty of replayability. EDIT: The way conveyor belts and inserts (roboot arms) work is gaming breakingly unrealistic and limiting. The fact that there is no simple way to decide which side of a conveyor belt inserters place and pick up items is incredibly annoying from the very beginning of the game. It forces you to make these weird unrealistic belt paths that are annoying as hell to manage. It may seem like a small thing until you realize this game is 75% conveyor belts. It's like an FPS game having bad weapons, it just ruins the game. As someone who's profession revolves around manufacturing, I though I could create some realistic and fun factories. Although, once I realized that you can't control and use the robot arms like real ones, this game just became a huge disappointment. For this reason I cannot recommend this game. This game could have been fun if they actually took the time to make inserters (robot arms) realistic and flexible to adapt to how you want to manage your factory flow from the very beginning of the game. Flexibility is the major reason for robot arms in manufacturing in the first place. Instead this game just feels very limiting and becomes this micromanaging nightmare of a puzzle. Half the game becomes "how can I get these resources to this side of the belt?". Also, note that this game has been around for multiple years and this will probably never be fixed unless you want to search around for a possible mod (Reminder: you should never need a mod to fix a game, only add to it). It is mind blowing that no one told me this before I wasted thirty dollars.
