Eradicator

Eradicator ist eines meiner liebsten 3D Spiele. Als es damals rauskam habe Ich 80 Deutsche Mark gezahlt hat sich gelohnt. Hatte davor Die Demoversion. War eines meiner ersten 3D Spiele schade das es nicht gut ankam, es gab nie eine Fortsetzung oder ein Remake. Mir hat es schon immer besser gefallen als andere 3D Spiele in dieser Zeit. Die Atmosphäre des Spiels und Die Musik sind auch heute noch super. Im Spiel gibt es coole Bossgegner man hat viele unterschiedliche Waffen. Man kann manchmal auch Feinde übernehmen wie Die Roboter oder Die Fliegenden Aliens. Am Anfang gibt es 3 verschiedene Charaktere später wird noch ein vierter freigeschaltet, soblad man das Spiel erfolgreich beendet. Jeder hat sein eigenes Start-Level. Man kann sogar zwischen Ego und Third Person wechseln.

Surprisingly long and good. Challenging, fun, a bit too dark, nice combat. A must-have for collectors!

I've never played this game in the 90s, so it was a new experience for me. Despite all these negative reviews with complains that the game is "too simple", "the same tech base theme", "the same enemies" etc., I want to say that I really liked it *because* it has the same tech base theme, and killing robots (instead of humans/zombies) was, against all odds, refreshing for me. Maybe I had a special mood to play such game - I am from Ukraine and I was sitting with my dog and two cats in "behind two walls" room during air strikes, and playing this game. At such moments I didn't want a complex game to play, because when there are bombs flying above your head, you cannot concentrate on something with a complex plot. I just wanted to walk through "tech base" themed corridors and shoot robots. Thus, I give it a 4/5. I would give it a 5 had it a modern source engine port just to increase the resolution, as the details sometimes were hard to see - it's like you're playing original version of DOOM in DosBox. So I just want to say that there are times when you have an appropriate mood to play games like this one. If you really like old FPS, give it a try. (played Steam version, glad it's available on GoG now)

I currently own this game on Steam and...on CD-ROM! I own this copy since I was 6-8 years old, and man does it still hold up today. You play as 1 of 3 (1 unlockable) character that must go through a giant citadel in order to destroy the last boss and prevent a cataclysmic event. Nothing too innovative here in term of story. Where it shines the most is the creepy atmosphere, the ton of guns with special functions and the enemies that can pose a threat to you, not to mention the level design. It's quite long too.

This game is very cool and different enough in every way to be in it's own realm. Very puzzle rich maybe to a point of being frustrating, but still good level design. The Gog version works good and looks like includes an editor now but personally that is not important for this type of game. The depth and atmo and interactivity is well beyond Duke3d or anything up to maybe quake.
