tedious and boring

barely working basic quality of life stuck behind 'easy mode' is just bad game design. the hotspot indicator (only with space, nothing to click) is completely useless, only shows very few things, there's still plenty of dreaded pixel-hunting to do. hints, even repeated ones, are also counted, just to make sure players are properly shamed while those with no self-control can play on 'hard mode' without access to either optional function they could simply choose not to use. insufferable characters (not just the ridiculous villain) and horrible voice acting (except the little girl and the robot). constant loading screens with long loading times. the game doesn't pause when alt+tabbed. the big-ass robot is always in the way, covering important things. movement is slow unless you double-click every time. need 2 clicks to select an item from the inventory instead of lmb to pick up, rmb to inspect, and have to do it before every single attempt at combining or using something. beyond tedious, especially with all the clutter in the backpack until the next chapter. there are audio issues as well, voiceovers not playing half the time, mentioned in the manual, so they knew about them but never bothered to fix them. the only somewhat positives are manual saving anytime (but only over a measly 3 slots without an overwrite confirmation), autosaves (without any indication), fast travel, some hotkeys (non-rebindable) and settings (separate volumes, resolutions, windowed mode, languages, subtitles, v-sync, etc.), but being lazy and/or incompetent and failing at basic p&c stuff with decades of good and bad examples to learn from is not something to applaud or recommend.

Nice but it can be improved

The game can be tackled in two ways, easy, in which if you get stuck you can ask for help from Sam, who will give you suggestions to continue, and difficult, in which you cannot ask for help, unfortunately during the adventure asking for help from Sam , did not give me useful tips to continue, it was useless, also during the game you can press the space key to highlight the objects to be collected, but in the whole adventure it has never highlighted objects that I had not already seen before, and sometimes he didn't even highlight them, even this function needs improvement. Graphically it is very beautiful, fluid characters, well-made scenarios, cyberpunk atmosphere inspired by Blade Runner, unfortunately there are some things that have partly ruined the adventure, in the menu you can see the flying cars whizzing in Neo Berlin, but the rain does not hit the cars but passes behind them, and this makes the adventure lose realism in the game, one thing I really didn't like, are the clashes between the characters, often Tina and Sam become one, they merge into a moreover, when it starts to rain, the water is not seen falling to the ground, but only in the air, and no character is ever wet. For the sound sector there are very atmospheric and pleasant accompanying music, the voices of the various characters are not calibrated, those who speak loudly, and those who speak softly, the steps of Sam, who is a robot of at least 300 kg, yes they hardly hear. The sore point of the adventure are subtile, a turtura, they are not below, but above the characters, colored and many times made it difficult to read, they last very short and I often had to repeat the question to read the answer, and in the menu there are no options to change subtitle duration. In conclusion, if I knew English I would have given 4 stars, even for some imperfection of the graphics, while for me who had to read the subtitles I only give 3 stars.

Good adventure game

When I started playing this game I estimated it would be average adventure game that I would occasionally play. Now, when I have finished the game, I'm giving it 4-star grade. Good graphics and sound design, great music, good story also. Still I can't give it the highest mark because on my opinion it is missing something to be called 'Great adventure game'.

This is an incredibly bad "game".

My wife and I are somewhat "veterans" in point-and-click, so we have seen quite a few bad titles already. But we have only lasted about 45 minutes into this one and we are certain that we are not going to continue any further. Ok, a few good points: a lot of work went into designing the look. Characters speak. Haven't encountered any bugs. But. It's slow. It's boring. It's not user-friendly. It's a long walk in huge scenes that contain mostly nothing and what is clickable is not usable and/or uninteresting and/or needs some obscure item that may be obtained from somewhere else, that will "only" take you 15-20 minutes of watching the characters slowly trod throught a lifeless city. This "game" has quickly sapped my willpower to try and find anything that the protagonists need. I hope they save the world eventually, though. And no, you can not sell anything with children and kitten.

Sweet story

Nice and sweet story about a little girl trying to find her dad, who she thought was dead, in a big futuristic metropolis controlled by a nasty character named Rummpf. Citizens spent all their time in cyberspace, where they can be and do whatever they want, avoiding their real and sad lifes. The story develops in a nice and slow pace. Graphics are excellent, Neo Berlin is full of details and colours, the city really feels alive with plenty of NPC walking around and flying cars crossing the sky. Encodya itself is beatifully designed, it is a mix between Lost (the TV show) and The Dig, with all these new tech scattered around the forest. The game relies heavily in mini-quests where you need to find several items to get another ones. Sometimes it feels like it is done just to make the game longer as some of quests are not entirely story related. Overall, it is a fantastic game to play and enjoy.
