Sure, it's top down. But this game still provides the high-tension, balls-to-the-wall tactical feel that you can only get with games like SWAT 4 and Rainbow Six: Raven Shield. Customize your soldiers, including weapons, gear, appearance, class, and armor. Will you stick to the heavy-hitting Assault, the silent-but-deadly Stealth, the tank Shield class, or something else? Your choice. A variety of missions, including terrorist hunt, bomb squad, hostage rescue, and even arrest operations. Many ways to infiltrate buildings, whether it's using lockpicks, breaching charges, or your own boots. This is the game for R6 fans new and old, and a perfect way to wait until the new Rainbow Six: Siege comes out.

DON'T BUY THE GAME ON GOG. Developers have abandoned the game. They no longer update the game on gog. Steam version got its last update on Dec 18th, 2017 with 1.1.5 and gog version is still 1.0.10. You can't use OBS studio with Door Kickers. It makes the game unplayable by letting you and the enemies walk & shoot thru walls. Developers lame excuse: "It's their fault" The game crashes at the startup and makes it completely unplayable for me.

Only notized after buying that I cannot play Coop without GOG-Galaxy. Watch the fine print.

Everything that has been said is true: it's a very fun tactical shooter with a solid progression system. BUT: the only thing that stands out negatively is very annoying; so much so that I didn't even finish the game yet: there is just way too much micromanagement involved. What I mean: your soldiers practically don't do anything beyond what you tell them to: you choose when to cover what and in what angle (like clearing a room). If you miss an enemy standing in a corner by just 1° you trooper won't see or shoot the bad guy and will get killed. -> this is way too restrictive... would your troops have a little bit more AI in them (like at least shoot the fuck back!!), this game would be so much fun! Alas, your men are stupid and incompetent beyond believe.

The game has character progression, custom inventories, level generator, map challenges, campaign mode, etc., but after a while I felt that I kept doing the same thing over and over again. While fun, it was *the same* fun, but please take into account that I have my personal biases. I don't think the game really excels in any regard and doesn't have anything too wrong with it either. Could've had deeper game mechanics. The game revolves around room clearing. Pros: nice graphic style. Cons: enemy AI, basic cover system. Rating: one flash-bang, many many stars. Recommendation: decent tactical strategy, so if you are into that, it's well worth a shot. https://pixelloot.com
