Feels like a classic. Extraordinary RPG
Title says all - Feels like a classic. Unique and engaging RPG experience, bundling extraordinary atmosphere, humour and even philosophy, with pen and paper levels of versatility. Caveats - I bought this on Steam rather than GOG (sorry!) and I have not yet finished the game (too much replayability, and I do like to try out all the angles). It is difficult to describe just how engaging the makers' RPG system is - you need to try it to get a sense of how much fun it can be to have your own skills talking to you and even trying to coax you into certain courses of action! In addition to this there is also the unique concept of the thought cabinet, which allows you to internalise ideas relating to the setting's cop, pop and philosophical cultures, often with mixed and rather clever effects I admit, for the price, I would prefer the story to be (even) longer, with more maps, but I'm glad I took the plunge. I've spent less time on many similarly priced titles which I felt were worth their price-tag. Totally worth supporting. I'm also hoping for more - the makers' deep but adaptable RPG system leaves enormous scope for development within this setting, as well as potentially many others. If you can get this on sale, it's a steal.
