Wait before buying

Released with too many bugs and control issues to be worth getting at this time. The game feels like a rushed console port that needed more development time to work the kinks out of. If you play with keyboard and mouse you will find yourself somewhere between disappointed and frustrated at the clunky key bindings, many of which can't be changed at this time. If you have any kind of control disability, you should definitely not purchase this until they allow people to play using the controls and keybindings they want (or need). The driving mechanics are also pretty bad. There is no fluidity to the movements so you will feel like you are flooring the gas and turning the wheel to the maximum at all times. The camera adjusts itself constantly as well, so if you have the slightest bit of motion sickness you will dread getting into a vehicle. I'll be attempting to get a refund at this time because of these issues. I really want to like this game, but if my fingers can't press the right buttons and driving makes me sick, there's no point in wasting the money until I can actually play. It's really a shame (and ironic) that no effort was put into making this release disability-friendly.

I've been waiting for this game

And now I've been waiting to get an answer from customer support for a cool two weeks after filing for a refund. Two straight weeks and not so much as a peep from customer support. Had I bought this shit show on literally ANY OTHER platform it was released on I would have my 60 Euros back by now, but good ole consumer-friendly GOG just fucks off for weeks on end, keeps my money and says "suck it, customer". This is beyond unacceptable and marks my final purchase with this platform. CDPR? GOG? Never again.

Big disappointment in its current state

I am reviewing the PC version. My system is an i7-10700KF, 1080Ti, 32GB ram. I have played 24 hours of the game so far. I like Cyberpunk 2077 a lot. The world building, the graphics, the sound, all very well done. I detest review bombing but if I am going to be honest it does have issues: - Abysmal framerates on older PC's even at lower detail settings. - The AI pathfinding of pedestrians, NPC's and motor vehicles is very poor and needs to be improved a lot. - The UI is very cluttered and non-intuitive. - The inventory system is overly complex and unwieldy. - The keybinds are all over the place. - The inventory system needs to be improved for weapons selection and also lock weapons to stop from losing them. - The skill tree is very large and confusing. I've basically got to read through every single item to see what is most useful with the skill point I want to spend. The attribute tree menu is very confusing. - The city needs fleshing out with more activities to do. Doors are marked "locked" but you cannot enter them. I can't buy noodles at noodle stores. There are no minigames. - The "braindance" activity was heavily promoted in gameplay videos and yet the final product does not even allow us to use braindancing outside of main quests. I am very disappointed with this ommission. There is even a shop that sells BD chips but no way to use them. - The shear number of object bugs and glitches. A key scene at the start is a good example. Instead of handing me "the" microchip that I connect to my head the game glitches and I get handed a handgun instead. Immersion destroyed. As it stands Cyberpunk 2077 is a 6 or 7 out of 10 for me. I am really shocked the game was released in this state and this is the PC version which is apparently far better than the console version. I have decided to stop playing Cyberpunk 2077 until CDPR releases substantial patches not only to fix the large number of glitches but add more content to the game and the open world landscape.

Solid game, with room for improvement

I think that there are a lot of unfair expectations for the game, so here is my perspective: 1: What is CP77? Some people seem to think that CP77 is a SciFi-GTA/RPG/AAA-Shooter/Deus Ex-like/Loot-shooter. IMO, they're all missing the point. At it's core, CP77 is a game about a Cyberpunk story and showing what the future might look like. This is where the focus is at. The story-telling is the core and the main-story is told incredibly well. Another main focus is showing what the future may look like and what kind of social/economic implications that has for us. That is also done incredibly well. The other aspects of the game are just additions to the core experience. It is unfair to expect CP77 to be the best game in all of the mentioned above categories. 2. Roleplaying? No matter which background you choose, you are always V the mercenary. A good person at heart, with some flaws. The background is just used to explain V's origins. This takes some freedom away from the player, but it allows CP77 to give you some awesome missions/story parts that you would have missed otherwise. For most quests and the main story, there exists a linear 'core' path. But a lot of 'optional' or 'secondary' missions actually change the outcome of the 'core' path. This applies to the main story as well. This is really similar to Witcher 3, actually. 3. The good: - Game looks great, I play on 'High' on a Medium-Spec PC from 2018, it runs fine. - Atmosphere is great - Main-Story & Characters are great - Some side-stories are also great, but not all - The skill-system is much better than in Witcher 3 - Lots of options for combat (Swords/Clubs/Guns/Grenades/Stealth/Quick-Hacks for 'magic') 4. The bad: - Missing technical polish. There are issues like static key bindings, performance issues and some bugs. - There are too many 'kill some thugs and loot them' quests. - The random loot makes you look like a clown - Some skill-trees are much stronger than others. - Horrible Console launch

Game is incredible

Brought the retail version of the game gog code from amazon i really enjoying this game but the game needs optimization & bug fixes waiting for the game patches. I am very satisfied with this purchase of the game i like this game so much.
