Cyberpunk 2077

This game just seems like it is in an unfinished state and the release is nothing more than glorified using your customer base as your beta and play testers, I knew coders were lazy but give us a break. Now I do love the game even in the unkempt state it is in, however yall are going to sit down and take your lumps for the screwup, now hurry up and fix this mess for us. 1st mistake (PC version on GOG) The input map and associated code is supposed to be like the first damn thing you complete in a game so esplain to us how you dropped the ball with this and every other RPS we can remap our keys to whatever we want but this wonky system is what we were left with, which looks like it was a half ass attempt at only converting console controls to the pc instead of treating each platform with a new input map unto itself. 2nd mistake Driving is attrocious in first person when whomever designed the position of the driver and the extent of the bottom of the winshield has lost their proverbial mind and real driving doesn't work like that you have to be able to see the road the bottom of the winshield would never block your view. 3rd mistake Stop making us gamers play inventory tetris just to get rid of those stupid exclamations, this drives some of us insane so just stop. 4th mistake Never Ever EVER EVER borrow, incorporate, support, or practice microsoft business practices... using your customer base to troubleshoot, bug watch or find, beta or playtest for your lazy coding and thriftful nature to skimp out on a crucial step in the development process this is lazy and predatory business practice as well as delivers sub standard product nearly 100% of the time. Anyhoo... fixing this mess in a timely manner with go along way in repairing said divide and bring about a happy forest! ;)

Ich kann schon verstehen warum einige Spieler auch enttaeuscht von Cyberpunk sind. Ich spreche hier nicht von fehlenden Inhalten. Ich habe mich im vorfeld nur so wenig wie moeglich gespoilert. Aber neben den gut geschriebenen Charakteren und einem eigentlich sehr spassigrn Spielprinzip mit so einigen Freiheiten, ist es wenn man offene welten liebt und sich im detail gern anschaut doch etwas enttauschend. Dazu kommt noch eine NPC KI die scheinbar nur rudimentaer vorhanden ist. Passanten zu fuss verhalten sich statisch und unglaubwuerdig. Wenn sie angesprochen werden, passt es auch oft nicht zur Situation in der sie sich scheinbar eigentlich befinden. Man wird wie in den alten Assassins Creed Spielen mit icons auf der Karte zugebombt und das verhalten der NPC Autos ist auch extrem statisch. Sie schaffen es nichtmal an einem vorbeizufahren wenn man etwas schraeg auf der Strasse geparkt hat. CD Project hat heir ein Spiel geschaffen was von der Darstellung der Welt auf dem Level von the Witcher 3 ist. Was gut ist, aber fuer heutige verhaeltnisse doch recht duerftig. GTA, RDR2, Watchdogs 2 alle schaffen es wesentlich glaubwuerdiger eine offene Spielwelt zu erschaffen in der es mich motiviert abseits von quests mir Dinge anzusehen. Auch enden viele quests mit npcs relativ apprupt und man fragt sich oftmals, sollte da nun nicht noch was kommen? Die zahlreichen Bugs, die bisher zwar nicht gamebraking waren, aber doch auffaellig werden hoffentlich noch ausgebuegelt. Aber was die Welt an sich angeht? Da glaube ich nicht, das sman nochmal so tief in das SPiel eingreifen wird. Schade, etwas weniger waere hier sicherlich mehr gewesen. So bleibt nur ein schickes Action RPG was beim genaueren hinsehen doch sehr statisch ist.

Pro's and Con's - Big map and not just on a horizontal plane, but a great deal of verticality to it - Playing as a gunner, melee, stealth or hacker are all viable - The voice acting itself is good - Lots of missions - Love the music soundtrack - No crash bugs noted - Keanu Reeves' character is a complete ass, but somehow like him all the same - Side missions are great Con's - This game has a very nasty reverse difficulty curve. Even playing on the second-hadest level, the fights can get trivial such that I am able to take everyone out from a distant range with just quick hacks. - The dialogue has issues with sound mix/sound balancing. Sometimes you'll hear the voice at one volume level/quality, but pick another dialogue option and the sound mix sounds very different for that voice actor - Claire Russels hands clip through the steering wheel while other characters seem to hold the wheel just fine - Nobody cares if you take their things - Cars, people, items can clip through the world geometry - Car steering and physics aren't great, and tough to control by keyboard - If you fail a mission and load from a check-point, I've seen it reload the game state in such a way that the missions can't be passed (pursuit involving drones became impossible to beat after a failure due to the way the game respawned) Notes: - be careful with iconic weapons. You have to have it on your person to crafter a better version of it - too many "locked" doors with no apparent way to open them no matter what. Would've felt better if they made the doors non-clickable Overall: The game isn't terrible, but it definitely was a train-wreck that was released too soon. It also fell into a similar trap as the Witcher 2 with its reverse difficulty curve. On the one hand you do get the sense that you are becoming more bad ass as you level up, but the fights get less interesting as a result.

Honestly, this game has it's issues. As we all know, it isn't a very good game from a technical standpoint. But, it is a decent game if you are just looking for a game with decent gameplay and an awesome story. Although I would never recommend it to anyone as it stands. It's glitches have only ever completely shut the game down on me once or twice. I would call them more funny than game breaking. Seriously though, do not buy this game right now. Unless you are in it for the meme's and some hilarious captures. Definitely not worth the eight year wait, and sure as hell not worth the full price tag. It feels more like an Alpha release instead of a full release. Wait for this game to be $20 and maybe, just maybe the game will actually be finished by then. Oh, there is an issue with a Stealing quest, where i show up to the location and no one calls. Tried clearing the area, reset the game, reset the pc, reload a save from hours before....nothing seems to work. Though minorly annoying, it is something worth mentioning

The Good: -The setting is truly unique and extremely well crafted (at least visually) -The voice acting is very well done -The combat mechanics are serviceable -You can really build your character the way you want -A lot of Content if you want to do the side stuff -The characters and their dialogue is very well written -The graphics are great even on a mid range rig and they are bleeding edge if you have a super setup -The OST slaps -The future tech weapons look and sound great with some great animations and sound effects The Bad: -The game has some of the worst NPC, Police, and vehicle AI that I have ever seen in any game on any platform. -The world is filled to bursting with shallow and repetative Ubisoft style checklist content -Player choice is minimally impactful -Replay value is very low due to the above two points -There is a huge amount of ludonarrative dissonance in the plot. I don't want to give any spoilers so the best I can do is compare it to Fallout 4 where in the very beginning of the game you set out to find your kidnapped child but then end up running errands and building bases and establishing trade routes for strangewrs which makes absolutely no sense given the main character's motivations. -melee combat feels clunky and unsatisfying -If you stop to scrutinize the open world at close range instead of running through it or looking at it from a distance it quickly falls apart -Driving controls are very loose -UI elements feel rushed or unfinished Bottom Line: It's a good game, it really is, but it's also a deeply flawed one. I played it for 130 hrs or more and completely cleared the map. I don't regret my purchase and, if viewed in a vacuum, there's a lot to like here. That being said, the game is pretty far removed in ways from what was advertised and at the end of the day it is just a video game and will not make you popular, file your taxes, or make you better looking. Go in with tempered expectations and you'll probably have a good time.
