Cyberpunk 2077

Pros: - The city is beautiful. Do not forget to look up while you play, the buildings are incredibles. - The fighting is fun. I'm having far more fun here than in Witcher 3 - The music is great. - Some main and side quests are great. - Great dialog system. You can move, the characters feel alives (subtle movements, great voice acting). Cons: - Lots of bugs. Big problem as it broke the immersion, which is an important part of the game. Can be fixed though. - The AI is bad. Cops will get agressive for no reason, pedestrians are stupid, drivers yells at you when they hit something unrelated to you, ennemies tends to stay in place which make it easy to go around them in fights. Patches might help. - Infiltration is uninteresting. You cannot really play a whole mission stealth because of the AI and the level design isn't great. We're miles from modern Deus Ex games here. - The game is too stimulating. There are things happening all the time, everywhere. There are ads with sex references everywhere, which do not help (yes they did it on purpose, but I think it is poorly done and break the immersion). It's a big problem for me because, as I said, the city is beautiful. I would like to be able to relax walking/driving into the city (as I did in Witcher3/RDR2/GTAV/AC). - Driving is a little rough. It's not bad, but vehicles tend to be a little too stiff and other drivers adapt poorly to uncommon situations. Once again, something which breaks the immersion. - No real choices in most quests. It was something I loved in Witcher 3. I'm having a lot of fun in the game, but clearly not as much as when I was playing Witcher 3 (it was in 2017 so a lot of patches after its realease). I think the game will be far more pleasant when bugs will be fixed. I really hope the IA will be improved, it would really help the game. Unfortunatly, I think a lot of problems cannot be resolved easily. It's a rough diamond which will be more polished, but I think it will stay a rough diamond.

Great story, style, dialogs, characters - everything on high level. But, technical aspect of the game is very sad. It's like we in 2010 when New Vegas released. Massive FPS drops in regular rooms, on streets, in unpredictable places, just on camera movements. Huge spikes load on GPU/CPU, very rough performance, changing settings just don't affect on this. Game looks gorgeous, but perform very unstable. Also annoying bugs like quest just stuck - need to reload last quicksave. Stuff just freeze in the air like Siverhand sigarette of phones or guns. AI also bad. Yelling through the wall on you, but stay in room and do nothing. And more more things. This game must be delayed for more 3-6 months to just fix things up.

As much as I want to like this game, its extremely buggy and unpolished with features not even working as intended

When the requirements for Cyberpunk 2077 were announced, I was happy and relieved to see that my PC should still be able to handle the game - albeit on low settings -, since my hardware was within or slightly above the minimum requirements. However, the only thing the game does since launch day is crash to desktop as soon as I hit "play" on GoG. Here are the things I've tried to do the last couple of days: - disable Overlay in GoG Galaxy settings - updated my AMD Drivers - since that didn't work, clean reinstall for all Drivers - checked for Win 10 Updates - installed the Patches (as of now, Hotfix 1.04) - ran Verify/Repair (multiple times) - completely de- and reinstalled the Game (multiple times) - disabled all so-called non-essential applications - tried to force the .exe as Administrator with GoG Galaxy not running - performed a clean boot and tried to run the game that way - ...and combinations thereof As of now, I cannot tell if I will ever be able to play this game without completely upgrading my PC (which is only going to happen sometime next year), and I feel ripped off for trusting the official requirements - especially in light of the embargo CDPR put on reviews pre-launch. Given the amount of bugs a lot of people struggle with, I can only suspect that even if I got the game to start, it might still be completely unplayable. So at the moment I'd advice anyone who's PC is below the "recommended" requirements to hold off buying the game. Right now it's just not worth the time, effort, money and heartache. There might be a patch in the future that fixes this mess. But a possible, hopefully eventually existing patch sometime down the line - days, weeks, months? - can not be a criterion for buying a game in this state. [I will update this review should the game become playable at some point in time.]

I think this game is the most unplayable released game I've played so far in my 29 years on this planet.
