Cyberpunk 2077

Terrible keybinds, no option to change them. It's shameful for a AAA game in 2020, hopefully it will be fixed?

Cyberpunk 2077 is the pinnacle of modern game industry philosophy. Release now. Patch later. - The game looks amazing on PC. - The world is breathtaking but, shallow. Many doors are forever locked to the player. - Controls are clunky with keyboard and mouse. It feels like the game is designed for a console controller. - Features like Barber Shops or Tattoo Parlors are missing. Once you create your character as the beginning of the game, you are locked into those choices forever. - The game is riddled with bugs. Not just visual bugs but, physics bugs and bugged quests. - Cyberpunk 2077 was release too early and needed at least another 6 months to a year of development time. There is a good foundation here for CDPR to build on and turn the game into a true next gen experience, if they make the effort. I recommend checking back in 6 months to see if the game is worth buying or wait for a 50% off or more sale.

It will take a lot of patches to fix this mess and it'll take a lot more to regain my trust. I've supported CDPR since Witcher 1, but they've just proved they don't deserve any support. They're no better than EAs and Ubisofts and Bethesdas of the world.

So many bugs. So many broken quests. So many design mistakes.

TL;DR: At the moment - 3/5 game at most. (patch 1.04) 17/12/2020 I gave it 1/5 because I was lied to by the marketing team. I don't like liars. Hypothetically, yes, it might become a 5 star game in a few months or a year. It is defenitly not 'a perfect game' or the 'best game ever' as some people claim. Buy the game if you trust CDPR to fix everything, add the content they promised and if want to support them during this difficult time. Wait if you are a patient consumer who would prefer a more polished and complete experience. 5/5 Map - The map is wonderful, it's the main reason I still have hope for this title. 4/5 Storytelling and soundtrack - Railroad story, no true choices but well presented with interesting characters. Good music, tho sometimes used to force emotion. 3/5 Artificial Intelligence - Enemies are not too bright. The city is populated by a few archtypes of NPCs with a few limited behaviors. It is noticeable and annoying after a while. 3/5 Physics, combat and loot - Combat is nothing special. Some world Items might blow up just by walking next to them or opening a nearby container, which are usually filled with useless loot. 2/5 Graphics - As a next gen RTX game I expected the main character to cast a shadow. Why do we need to press 'Use' on mirror to activate a reflection? (I play on max RTX PC settings). Light from a bilboard can just go through cars and reflect on a puddle. 1/5 open world fidelity and UI - Key mapping for PC is redicules. Cause a traffic jam and make a 180 turn, see everyone reset and disappear. UI is just bad. Hold to craft 30 frag grenades? one at a time? No hairdresser. No restaurants to sit and eat with other characters. No animations for buying new upgrades. A thin open world. 0/5 Police - A placeholder system. They will appear outside your vision cone even in a closed basement. Don't worry, if you move to the next room they won't see you anymore. You can leave the door open, they still won't see you.
