It's OK
I bought CP on day of release and went went through the prologue in the night the game got unlocked, and I had my fun. I spent the following week putting my free time into this game and enjoyed exploring Night City and the occasional T-posing NPC or car emerging from the ground rather entertained than bothering me. Running around town and looking for side quests is fun, but suffers from the obligatory open-world sidequest dilemma of 60% being boring filler mission, whilst the other 40% almost deserve their own main plot. Leading us to one of CP's biggest problems, the plot itself. Despite being full of plotholes (especially in the prolog), the story itself is very simply, you are terminally ill and desperately looking for a cure. Sounds simple, sounds good, but when the story comes to execution the games fails to find its balance between saying too much and saying too little, while talking far too much for the most time. This problem becomes especially obvious when going through the game a second time, as you will find yourself stuck in a conversation that takes up to 5 minutes, even though you are skipping through the whole dialogue. On the other handside you also got parts, when you don't want to skip even though you heard the conversation thrice already (I am thinking of Johnny and V talking about what they do and what will remain of them somewhere near a landfill on the roadside). Another plot-problem is its linearity. The games can end in more than 6 different ways (if I remember correctly) but what happens up until the endig is almost irrelevant. Before starting the final mission you are given a choice on how you want to approach, resulting in an ending often also giving you a yes/no choice kind of option. Wether you played the game as a bully, lunatic, kind guy, smart guy, dumb guy or whatsoever doesn't matter. Since I am running out of place to write, I am gonna keep the rest short: The game world is beautiful, but empty The gunplay is there Buy on sale
