Fourth time’s not the charm
Broken Sword 4: The Angel of Death tries to keep the series alive but ends up feeling clunky and rushed. - Graphics: Decent for its time, but animations are stiff, objects behave oddly, and performance is sluggish no matter the settings. - Controls: Walking is painfully slow, running is unreliable, and George constantly gets stuck on scenery. Even the mouse wheel sprint works inconsistently. - Puzzles: Mostly linear and simple. The PDA server challenges are tedious, and stealth sections feel random—sometimes enemies spot you from afar, other times not at all. - Environments: Large but empty, with very few meaningful interactions. Some objects exist for no reason, leaving you second-guessing. - Inventory: Full of one-use items that clutter up quickly. - Story: Rushed and incomplete, with a disappointing ending—no closure, no credits, just a blank screen with music. Verdict: Recommended only for die-hard Broken Sword fans who want to play every entry, regardless of quality.
